ok, downloaded them all, and have been running prime95 for 3 hours so far, passed all self tests, stable as i can see. core temps ARE higher, around 65c. but CPUz, HWmonitor, and CoreTemp all say that im running witha multiplier of 6, instead of the 8 i set it to. shouldnt they say im runnin at the full 8 during the stress test??

um well i dont have prime 95, or any official testing softwear lol. i just run Crysis at max high settings for 4-6hours on end, and the temp never rises above low 40s c. i use my Hardwar Monitor softwear that came with my mobo, and i think its pretty accurate. also my case cpu temperature monitor reports the same. no crashes, nothin. no different than when i ran it at stock.
ohhhh ok, i didnt know that was enabled... that would be why it runs great, but doesnt show it when im idle... gotcha
Hey, I recently overclocked my q9550 from stock 2.8ghz gradually up to 4.0ghz. its runnin smooth and stable, never gets above 40c under load, and "system temp" of mobo never gets above 50c. but when i go into my bios it says the multiplier is 6, not the 8 that i set it to... and my EasyTune softwear says its 6 as well... idk. its stable and when i boot it up my POST screen shows "intel q9550 @4.00ghz". I think it IS at 4.0, just not showing it anywhere else, what could be causing this? thanks

I really like games like the old Red Baron, and star wars Xwing vs Tie Fighter, and id love a GOOD WWII combat flight game. it just seems they are all either WAY too technical and boring, or have terrible graphics... like the ground and building graphics are almost 2D and make me wince. Are there any good dogfighting games that dont look like crap? ive seen like IL2 Sturmovik and Pacific Fighters, but the visuals look pretty bad... anything genuinley good out there? thanks!
sup ppl, i am rly thinkin im gonna OC my cpu cuz its kinda slow. all my other components are great, so maybe ill crank it up, the OC softwear what comes with my mobo has an "easy tune" feature that lets me OC to 3.6 max. should i do this? i have good airflow and cpu cooling... thanks!

gonna be using an intel q9550, and i can get a new mobo cause mine only supports ddr2
no but i want a lot of ddr3. what should i get?
I have one EVGA GTX 295, it runs most games well, but some like Empire Total War and Crysis it is a bit laggy, with lower framerates than id like. i have 8gb ddr2 memory, and q9550 at 2.83ghz with a 1000w psu, so it should run better... kinda want SLI idk. thanks!
