I was looking at a front panel LCD temp sensor/fan controller unit to put in my tower, since i have 2 fans in my case not controller right now, and it would add some flair. Do they work, are they easy to install, and are they worth the money??

So i have a typical LiteOn IDE drive, CR/RW, DVD, CDROM player. Recently when i put in a disk or game to install or listen to music, it simply doesnt do anything. it boots up the disk about 10% of the time, but it is sketchy. ive tried with autorun on and off, it still barely works, and everything is hooked up right. i go to my computer and it recognizes that there is a drive, but even when a disk is inserted it says it is empty. is thisan optical drive failure? help!
kewl. but why does everyone insist on quoting the ENTIRE TEXT from the person they are talking to, even when its right above them...
so i have 2 120mm case fans that i want to hookup to a fan controller, but they are both 4 pin molex, and the controller needs them to be 3 pins... are there converters that work for this? or do i have to get specific 3 pin fans?? thanks
lol i dropped just the hard drive... stuuuupid i know. i was reinstalling it in a new rig... dropped it about 2 feet onto a tile floor. and lets just say theres a 99.99999999999999% chance my music was all from limewire... >.>
hey, ive got about 1000 songs from limewire, on my itunes. i dont want to pay to get an external hard drive, so would a 16gb flash drive be good to backup my music? how would i go about it? thanks
yea looks like im screwed. it doesnt make the typical "click of death", but it does click repetativley and the comp doesn boot up, or recognize that the drive is even there. sigh. i have about 1000 songs on my comp, in the future im prolly gonna get a 16gb flash drive, will that work for backin up my music?
yea i just remembered to listen for that, and ohgod it does spin up, but clicks alot and fairly loudly... i think its dead. great. any way to get my music off that piece of crap before i junk it??
no its a western digital 500gb hdd. and it has worked fine for about 7 months. i did drop it sorta hard, are they that fragile? it hasnt worked since, but its hooked up correctly and evrything else in my rig works, it just wont boot up past the intitial screen or load anything, like theres no hdd there at all..
