So i boot up my computer one day, and it goes to the boot menu screen, and just sits there, and tries to boot from my hard drive, then tried to boot from cd drive... it doesnt even say my HDD is plugged in. I also went to install windows again and when i got to the hard drive partition page, it detected no hard drives. I have everything hooked up right, it worked 2 days ago... now nothin. does this mean my hdd is dead? (i did drop it from about 2 feet off the ground a while ago)

checked the manual, no luck at all. EVERY SINGLE THING is perfect with my rig as far as I can see. aaaah so frustrating!

i already said that i tried different plugs, they dont work either. and no nothing lights up at all

no its totally compatable, this same setup was working a week ago in the old case, now it wont work in either. i didnt change anythin cept case, now it wont power up...

yea its not the plug, just tried that. i have a modular psu, so everything is obvious and hooked up correctly. only thing i havent replaced is the CPU, but its hard to imagine how i would have damaged that in the transfer. i was very careful, didnt shock anything....

i could do that, that is a major pain tho. and ive already switched out most components for other ones to try.

yea unfortunately i have tried every single thing u have suggested lol. thats why i am so stumped... i have tried it with just the mobo, 1 stick of ram, and psu, no luck. tried it with all the combinations of hardware. theres like no way to power this thing on. idk what it could be because its happened in both cases, and it worked before the transfer, so somethin i did durring the switch caused it. but it didnt work with a new power supply, or a new mobo... idk... ive tried everything i can think of.

sigh, yes, yes it is. its so on its rediculous.... now does anyone have any real help to offer? i have checked all the obvious things, and im no newb when it comes to buildin comps... lol

so i just got a new case and moved everything over from my old case, and the thing wont power on. no POST, no nothin. just a click when i hit the power button. checked all the connections, leads, components, etc, still nothin. put it back in the old case, nothin works. tried new mobo, new power supply, removing/adding the RAM, nothing but a click. I was very careful and could not have shocked or friend anything.... i have no idea why it wont start. HELP
