PSP has been out for 4 months

As you all know, PSP has been out for 4 months now, and we have seen many awesome games come and go. Such instant classics as Lumines, Twisted Metal: Head On, and Coded Arms. By now, you are probably wondering what is next for the PSP, and when will we start to see the full potential used.

The rest of this month and next month seem relatively dry, with basically Death Jr. and Burnout being the only real good looking games. Starting this September, we will start to see more and more use of the PSP and more great titles.

Games like GTA: LCS, LOTR: Tactics, Generation of Chaos, Medievil, Infected, etc.

We have only seen the tip of the iceberg in terms of what it can do. More and more games will start to use online. GTA:LCS will show how the PSP can handle full cities nand how long games can be, which according to Rockstar Leeds, is 50-100 hours for LCS.

Starting next month, we will start to get RPGs for PSP. Games like Legend of Heroes and FFVII: Crisis Core can show the PSP's capabilities of having long, story driven games.

RTS are coming too. Generation of Chaos is a game that doesn't actually begin until you beat the game once, with massive 30 on 30 battles and a completely different campaign for each of the kingdoms. This game looks extremely promising, with hundreds of hours of gameplay. You have to manage your government, finances, and warfare, while trying to gain conrol of territories all over the in game world. With such units as archangels, samurai, and dark knights (and that's only a few of the supposed hundreds of unit types), this game looks to have such a huge variety in battles that it could potentially last you for a long long time.

More FPS are coming too, with Ghost in The Sheel and others that can improve upon what Coded Arms did.

Alot of new types of games are also coming, like Daxter, and game in which you play as an Ottsel trying to rescue his friend from an evil Baron and Pursuit Force, which is a high speed, high adrenaline car chase game which puts Hollywood movies to shame.

So, in conclusion, PSP has so much more to offer, if we can just wait a month. The upcoming months look like the most promising times ever in the handheld gaming genre.
