Looks like some hermits are butthurt. Maybe if you stopped stealing games, more games would come out for the PC.

There is no way Microsoft is going to tell us about graphical downgrades on Forza 5. This is their last game they have shown that's running on 1080p on the Xbox ONE. I can see them downgrading the graphics significantly so that the game runs at that magic number. Downgrading the res to 900p would be a giant PR disaster. Imagine news headlines with: "All PS4 games at 1080p but no Xbox ONE game at 1080p."

Why cant lems admit that Microsoft spent billions trying to fix bottlenecks on a piss poor architecture while SONY said, "LOL... Let's just add GDDR5" and ended up with a system that's not only stronger, but also cheaper and more efficient than Microsoft's?

I can only imagine how much Microsoft spent on eSRAM, move engines, co-processors, SHAPE and other customized silicon to overcome the DDR3 bottleneck. What Microsoft has done has never been done before on tradition PCs, so I can guess that the R&D budget was pretty high.

Don't get me wrong, what Microsoft's engineers did with the Xbox ONE with the DDR3 RAM is pure engineering genius. It's still less refined than SONY's elegant solution.

[QUOTE="StrongBlackVine"]

[QUOTE="LA-Nighthawk"] You are grasping at this way too hard. Forza 5 will come out and it will look way better than Drive Club. That's a given. It will destroy it in scores and sales. All while running at twice the framerate. LA-Nighthawk

Won't sell better than Gran Turismo. Never has and never will.

Your games will never sell as well as Halo. You will never have a franchise that scores well consistently like Forza and Halo.

The most recent Forza and Halo games were AA mediocre trash.

Biased Japanese writer furious that Forza erased Gran Turismo from existence. LA-Nighthawk

For your info, this guy loved sucking Turn 10's peepee back when Forza 2 was new. This guy even had the balls to say Forza 5 is the premier racing sim out there.

SLowly but surely, the truth is coming out. We can see that what we saw at E3 for Prebakedza 5 is not indicative of what the game will look like on retail units.

[QUOTE="locopatho"] Because early rough next gen games are still usually better than late last gen games, and Forza has hammered GT for nearly a decade now.locopatho

And Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX, X, Resident Evil 4, SNES metroid, Super Mario SNES, and all Zelda games on the N64 & GameCube will probably have higher scores than all the games that are going to be released in the next 6 months. Why get a new console?

WTF are you talking about? GT is the last gen game while Forza is the next gen one. Are you a houseplant?

Would you like it if the best next-gen consoles can do is take a last-gen game and up its resolution to 1080p? Opps, I mean 900p.

We buy consoles to experience effects that last-gen consoles were unable to produce. Forza 5 is such a bare bones racer that it shouldn't even be considered next-gen. It's a last-gen racer running at 1080p.

[QUOTE="campzor"]it is no surprise that forza 5 is in generation limbo. Not quite next gen, but just looking better than last... Missing core features as well... Why even buy forza when gt6 is around the corner, ill never know.locopatho

[QUOTE="ronvalencia"] There was no GPU downclocks. I was the first (in GS's SW) to use prototype-7850 with 12 CU @ 860Mhz which is ~1.3 TFLOPS which matches X1's 853Mhz GPU clock speed.ronvalencia

Xbox ONE doesn't have a 7850. The Xbox ONE has a 7770 with a 2nd GPU that's on-par with AMD 9970. You gotta pay for Xbox LIVE Platinum to unlock the hidden GPU.

X1 doesn't have 7770 since you haven't factored the memory bandwidth nor the triangle rate.

12 CUs > 10 CUs i.e. 12 CU has greater wavefront buffer, L1 cache, Local Data Storage, TMUs(load/store) when compared to 10 CUs.

Indeed. The Xbox ONE's GPU is actually a 9.7 TF beast. You have to pay for Xbox LIVE Platinum, though. If you're a silver or gold member, the GPU has a performance of a 7770. Wait until September 29th when the NDA lifts. Microsoft will announce a Platinum membership which is $150 annual fee. You have to be a Platinum member to unlock the hidden GPU power.

[QUOTE="biggles2120"] Wow, so the GPU downgrade was true but they concealed it was a puny overclock. This garbage with 6% overclock was better than 2 CU's. Microsoft saving some money on yields. That was a pure $$$ decision there. Sad. ronvalencia
