that'd actually kinda suck.. i don't like sony's consoles (they break way too much), but they don't make compelling enough games to be just a publishing house.

In reference to all the Gamecube 1.5 comments, not even the theoretical gamecube 27 could run wii sports, and that alone makes the wii a new experience. you don't hear people calling the DS "GBA 1.5" even tho graphical power-wise, it pretty much is.
