I'd just take the free DS now and buy a Lite later on. Sure, the Lite is sweet and all and it's definitely better, but c'mon... If you can save 140 bucks right now, I'd say go for it. ;)

I'm definitely looking forward to it myself. I just hope it's at least close to being as good as VIII was. VIII was like the greatest RPG ever, in my opinion.

The only thing I'm worried about is that it's not going to be turn-based.

I'd say it should be a bit higher.. Maybe somewhere from 8.6 to 8.8, but 8.4 is still an excellent score. It's definitely one of the best DS games out there.

I think Portrait of Ruin deserved a higher score than Lunar Knights, though, personally.

Exactly. I love how people use the term newbie or noob and act like they were never a newbie themself. :roll:

As for the whole being in first in Mario Kart and slowing down to get the good power-ups... I don't see why you're putting up such a fuss about it. It's not like they are guaranteed a good power-up every time. If they want to take the risk of slowing down and losing first place to try and get a good power-up, let them. That's a pretty ridiculous thing to complain about if you ask me.
