Look, Perfect Dark Zero according the established rules of GameSpot System Wars Community (GSWC), is a AAA-Status game.

90% of Lemmings don't even agree with it, I don't. But the fact remains. It's a AAA game. And according to Section G Rule 113, we can use it to claim ownage, because it is a AAA game.

It scored AAA because it indeed was AAA at the time... COD2 got shot down (and I'm not sure why... was the first game I bought and beat) because people were looking foward to it was much... for example and I know they aren't coming out the same time... but which game would you be looking forward to more... the next HALO or the next COD?  As excited as I am for that they are finally moving on from WW2 nothing trumps how hype I am for Halo 3... Hype has to a say in everything and you should know this being as its SW... and we all know that which ever game plays closer to the hype will get the better score... anyways like I said earler...

Don't claim ownage with an AAA that had no competition claim ownage with the games that now do... because those games my fellow gamer are the true ownage... those are the games that you can say WHAT CHA GOT TO SAY NOW??  "SUCH AND SUCH"GAME CAME OUT AT THE SAME TIME AS "SUCH AND SUCH" AND IT STILL GOT PWNED...

By that logic, COD2 should have scored much higher as well. COD2 had better graphics and better story and it still scored lower than PDZ. Was PDZ newer than COD2? No. Thus, there is no evidence, be it empirical or anecdotal, which suggests that PDZ received a high score merely because it was the "next big thing out".

I don't buy that. That's my personal opinion. PS2 was the next big thing at the time, and it took a rather long time to get a AAA game if I'm not mistaken. It's my personal belief that something being "the next big thing" is just a cop-out excuse.

I think what he meant is that when those games came out there were no other next gan games to compare it to so naturally being the best thing out they got great scores... and what he is saying is if you were to release those same games now they would be mediocre...

i mean pdz cant stand up against bioshock, mass effect, lair, uncharted.. so if PDZ received a 9. whatever those games i named should get a 15

So we should go back and re-review every game because the graphics suck now? Well, Tony Hawk 3 gets a 8.0. OoT get a 6.9. Chrono Cross gets a 7.7. Soul Calibur gets a 6.1. See how asinine that is?

Fair enough, but at the root of that argument is a whole lot of, "would have, should have, could have". You could say that about any game. Hell look at Halo 2...great for it's time, rather mediocre by today's standards, and it showed in the reviews. Any game's wow factor is going to diminish when put up against future standards.

 No you see for Halo 2 you wouldn't compare it to one of the now NEXT gen games it would of been compared to last gen... and being that Halo is the king of Multiplayer games it score high like it should of even with competition...
