Well, if Sony takes a page from Microsoft on this whole emulation thing then it will suck badly. If they are able to release weekly updates to their emulation catalog then things will be fine.

The 80GB model only exists so Sony can still net the occasional $600 profit from "casual" (i.e. rich and stupid) consumers. It has no significant advantage over the 60GB model that would make it a better purchase for savvy consumers.
For all PS3 owners there is no question about hard drive space since you can use any SATA 5400 rpm notebook hard drive as an upgrade. Thus spending an extra $100 on 20GB of space is absurd when you can spend that same amount on a notebook hard drive and get about 160GB more space.
Everything else between the two versions is equal, minus the inclusion of Motorstorm, and perhaps a "RumbleAxis" controller, which are two things that can be bought in the future for bargin prices.
Halo's gameplay has ran it's course and really can't compete, on several technical levels, with modern PC FPS games such as Crysis. Halo 3 will sell well but will it's been-there-done-that gameplay and shallow technical achievements really be better than what a game like Crysis can offer? That is profoundly doubtful.
Out of the above list Halo 3 will sell the best but I suppose Crysis will be the technical winner to FPS afficionados.
There is pretty much a 99% chance they are going to announce StarCraft 2, but personally I would rather have Diablo III. A new StarCraft would be cool and I'd dig it, but I've always been more into Command & Conquer than either WarCraft or StarCraft. Diablo on the other hand, nothing can compete with it, plus it's Blizzard's most interesting franchise in terms of storytelling and singleplayer, both of which happen to be on the verge of extinction in the gaming world as of late.
actually monitors now adays shouldnt have backlight bleed and yet they do which is unacceptable this is what happens when you get uninformed casuals buying monitors of low quality which makes those who make them continue as they still get a profit. im pretty sure the 226bw has gotten many reviews saying it doesnt have backlight bleed now either all this guys got extremly lucky or were paid off because iv had 3 of this monitor with horrible backlight bleed.

Exactly, I actually researched the LG L1960TR before buying it and it got great industry and user reviews and not one of those reviews mentioned how the damn thing had one inch of light bleed at the top and bottom of the screen. I don't see how any of the industry reviews could have missed that as they usually do in-depth tests involving color, light, and contrast.
So I took the LG back to the store and went and had a closer look at the rest of the LCDs and ALL of them had light bleed. I went to another store and had a look, yet again they all had light bleed. Indeed, I am lead to believe that LCDs are made to bait casuals as their quality varies too greatly for tech savvy people to really be able to accept them.
What is the best LCD monitor for gaming?
I've been looking at LCDs and it seems that all LCDs have at least some detectable level of light bleeding on a black screen (where the backlights show through at the edges of the screen). Is there an LCD out there that has 2ms response time, over 1000:1 contrast ratio, and does not have any light bleeding whatsoever?
Can you please recommend a well made surge protector that provides good clean power for PCs?
Thank you
I'm thinking about swapping my current motherboard (MSI K8N Neo4-F) with an ASUS A8N32 SLI Deluxe. Here's a link to the ASUS mentioned:

I'm using Ultra ATA (not SATA) to connect my drives to the motherboard, I've got an AMD64 Athlon 3500+ CPU, and 2GB of DDR RAM, and I just want to know what potential or definite problems I'm looking at with a swap like this.
Side notes:
My case is an Antec TX1050B with a OCZ GXS600 PSU:

I'm considering upgrading to this videocard (current card is a 6800GT):

My main goal with this upgrade is to get passively cooled components to cut down on fan noise. Suggestions? Tips?
Thanks
