I just finally beat Assassins Creed 3 (backlog is ridiculous), and the credits seriously took like 30 minutes. When you employ that many people on a project, you have to be certain that the game will succeed. I would like to see some new IPs instead of a new COD, AC, Battlefield, etc. every year though. However, with so many people working on games, and so much money at stake, it isn't too hard to figure out why they are sticking to what sells.

@grasshopper6 That is management's fault. Not a player's.

That seems like way too much for an OS. I would even say that 2.5 GB for an OS is a bit much, but 3.5?

It is simple. Just put "Call of" in front of all of your titles. Should work to some degree.

When someone receives excellent or poor service, they are more likely to write a negative review, complain to a manager/corporate office, and so on, than somebody that finds a product or service mediocre or reasonable. That is just human nature. When you are extremely pleased, or extremely pissed, someone is likely to hear about it.

Still, I think many people feel like excellent service should be the norm, and are therefore not as likely to give positive feedback to the source of the service, whereas poor service will trigger feedback most of the time. That to me is why the "whiny immature assholes" as he says, seem to be in greater numbers, or louder.

I wouldn't take those threats seriously. Everybody is a 6'19" MMA fighter that can bench 800 lbs when sitting behind a computer screen online. When dealing with a game that sells millions of copies, you have to have thick skin when it comes to feedback. I don't think his life is in danger because some 12-17 year old kids, that shouldn't be playing the game in the first place, are making idle threats.

Somehow I doubt that the novel will do too well. I mean, why would you read a novel about a Battlefield 4 character, when you can just play the game instead. Does anybody really need a back story as to why you need to shoot someone in the face? Kill or be killed, ....next. That is all you need to know. Here is your gun, shoot that guy before he shoots you. Got it? Good. Novel in trash, Bf4 disc in tray. Perfect.

@aovannor You are missing the point. Content is withheld on purpose, and Trey is admitting that pressure was put on him to cut content. And not out completely to shorten the story, but to set it aside and sell it as DLC. Whether or not that content ever sees the light of day is not my point. My point is more of an "I told you so" to all those naysayers that insist that DLC is not a shady practice...EVER.

This is the kind of article that only proves that DLC is in fact often intentionally cut from games to be sold at a later date. I get tired of hearing, "No, they work on DLC right after the game is finished, and they didn't have time to put it on the disc", or whatever other excuse people think they deserve. People defend their favorite games to a fault. Finally an article that shows the truth behind the scenes for once.

@Eckkovoid @ZOD777 The day that a video game makes it into the olympics is the day that I agree with the above statement. You have it backwards. Sports are a form of competition. If every competition is a sport, then companies that are competing with one another for customers are engaging in a sport.

Ok. As much as I like gaming, it isn't a sport. Just like playing a board game, or chess isn't a sport, video games should not qualify as a sport. Games are well, games and that is it. You might have to be smart or talented to excel at some games, but that doesn't mean that you can go around calling yourself an athlete.

I know there are some that will not agree with me, but that is fine. Bowling is a sport, but I would hardly consider most good bowlers athletes. I think the terms sport and athlete are being too loosely thrown around at anything that is remotely competitive these days. Is grandma an athlete because she plays bingo? I am not against visas or anything, but how in the hell do you consider LOL players athletes, and not all gamers? It just seems a bit strange to me.
