I think if you make a good enough game, you don't need to release another copy every year. Battlefield 2 is still fun, and so is BFBC2. Annual releases aren't necessary when you make a game that has great replay value.

I can swear that game publishers throw out their brainstorming ideas to game journalists to see what the public reaction is before the actual policies are implemented. At least some that use that type of strategy listen to feedback, but I think EA is the type of company that pushes forward with ideas regardless of the backlash that might be conjured up.

Just another excuse to shove DRM and pay to win down our throats.

@DemocraticTroll @JBStone1981 @Smartestguyhere No, that is how THAT American thinks. Please don't lump us all in one category.

When negligence and irresponsible parenting meets with opportunity, bad things are sure to happen. Games don't kill people, mental illness and poor judgement on the behalf of the legal guardians is what you can point the finger at. Guns have safeties, clips that can be removed (or ammo kept somewhere else), and god forbid, a safe place to be stored such as a gun safe. Games have ratings on them, and kids are supposed to be watched at that age anyway. This was bound to happen regardless of whether or not GTAIV was played. You never hear about kids jumping into cars and running people over on the sidewalk do you?

I suppose if games were really to blame for violence, kids would jump on turtles and smash them, then eat mushrooms and try to spit fireballs too. Yeah, it is the game's fault alright.

Too bad I already own most of those games, and the others, I don't even want. If you could gift games like on Steam, maybe I would purchase it, but what would be the point of giving someone a gift that they could snag for only a dollar anyway? Oh well.

@JustSignedUp @ZOD777 @OldKye No, you are stupid to assume that taking advantage of an implemented policy, poorly decided on or not, is scamming. Scamming would be something more along the lines of stealing or something of that nature. Paying for something, and using the company's legitimate return policy is not a scam if it is a part of their policy. I was only pointing out that if there were no frills like OldKye probably got from the official policy that the system would be exploitable. That is not scamming anyone.

@OldKye It did sound a little too good to be true.

@CMOTKarlos @ZOD777 Maybe not, but there are some people that might just power through the single player campaigns. Not everyone plays multiplayer. Still, your point is valid.

@Joeguy00 Yeah, as someone mentioned below, you can "apply" for a refund. The real question is, how many applications for refunds will actually be honored?
