Today, along with the other millons of Enland football supporters, watched England's first knockout match, it was pretty good and i'd say we played better then we have done previously. The goal was fantastic by Beckham and he truly proves his worth, as soon as the ball curled into the net everyone remembered why he's considered our hero. My mate was saying how rubbich beckham's been getting and that he's out of shape etc etc, as soon as he scored i had to rub it in justa bit :).
Keeping to the sport we played some fifa football 2005, i know it's nto the newest but for £5 it's not bad, turns out we both suck at it. I expect i'll play it some more for a while at least until the cup ends (as soon as that mght be).
I played more call of duty 2, as per usual, and have a match coming up on Monday.
My internet decided it didn't want to work today and after about an hour i finally fixed it it wasn't working from early till around 7pm i tried it earlier and just shrugged at why it wasn't working and played some ps2.
As i said in my previous blog post i'm back to GS and will contribute how i can, i'm thinking abou writing a review tomorrow, either for the prey demo so people know what they're spending hours to download or another game that i've played a lot and know enough about to review.

I sort of stopped going on Gamespot for a while and after a few weeks i admit i even forgot about it but as soon as the thought entered my head that i like gaming and the Internet i put two and two together, so here i am.
I've been reading reviews, watching the videos (as well as the user videos), listening to the "Hotspot", watching "On the spot", checking out the features, downloading and playing demos, even blogging, heaven forbid, all today.
The site's undoubtedly frigging awesome.
Other then that i've mostly been playing Call of Duty 2 and Prey, both fantastic fps'.Since buying oblivion i haven't played it very much, yes, my computer "can" play it but not at a level where i'll be playing it at it's fullest potential.. I'm hopefully getting a new computer reasonably soon that should (fingers crossed) last me for a few years.
For the past two months or so i've mostly been playing ps2 games and Call of Duty 2, the latter with the clan i'm in. After getting hooked on Cod2 i thought why not buy some more first-person shooters, a genre that's fasinated me recently, so, among others i've added: Call of Duty: Finest Hour, Medal of Honour: Rising Sun, Killzone, Fifa Football 2005, metal gear acid 2 and metal gear solid 2 to my collection.
Well that's about it, it's late (gone 3am!) and i've loads of work today before light so no sleep for me tonight, i'll gather my thoughts and write a meaningful blog post tomorrow.

Hello folks, sorry for being pretty much completely inactive, it's mainly due to Call of duty 2, i've been playing it loads and am in the process of joining a clan at the moment.
I'm a trial member of the Laugh out loud clan and glad to be such. It's an awesome clan, all about having a laugh but still serious about gaming. It's been about a week or so since i asked to join and i expect another 1-2 weeks till i'm a full member. The war arranger let me and another trialist fight in the training session last week and a clan friendly just 2 days ago.
The friendly was an away game, meaning we played on their server, the match was okay but they were quite poorly set up.
For starters they truly didn't pay attention to the whole "pistol bash" and proceeded to use shotguns, rifles and grenades, it was about 10 rounds before they finally got settled. When they did the matches were okay and lol came out victorious with the first game in Carentan finishing at 7:3 and the second in Rhine finishing at 10:3. I managed to come out joint first in points in that game which was great for me. [The friendly was a search and destroy set of matches, which were best out of ten i think :P]
[Lol] Call of Duty 2 Clan
My Xfire
In non-clan related news i've reached the 100 hours mark in Call of Duty 2, i'm not as good as i'd pehaps like but i'd say i've certainly improved, especially as i've only had the game a month now. Next stop 200 hours.

Home sweet home

Well i've just gotten home say an hour ago from my holiday in Yorkshire, i was there for a week with my family. I incidently slept in the day we went and didn't have time to turn the computer on let alone write a blog explaining my soon to be absence. Well i'm back now as i've said and apologise for my not telling anyone why i wasn't posting on any boards etc.
The holiday was a nice break and i won't say i didn't have fun. I wasn't feeling particularly well in the days leading up to it and i'm quite surprised i managed the 5 hours it took to get up there. I was pretty much bedridden for the first three days which wasn't the most fun i've ever had. For the days i wasn't incapable of getting up i managed to spend a heap of money, play golf and go to a theme park.
The main thing i've noticed is that gaming has taken any money that i would've spent buying Dvds and that i have a very small dvd collection. Something must've triggered somewhere in the uncharted universe that is my brain and made me buy 20 dvds. More then i've bought in any week of my life in just the one day. I only bought two games which also surprises me as gaming, being such a big part of my life, if normally my only concern when shopping and i expected to return home with many.
Enough rambling, i doubt anyone's truly interested but here's a summary of what i've got since my last visit to the site.
Movies
The Matrix collection - 10 dvd boxset
Alien Quadrilogy - 9 dvd boxset
Pitch Black & Riddick
The Mummy and The Mummy returns
Kiss of the dragon
Narnia
King Kong
The Transporter
Games
Samurai Warriors: State of war - PSP
Tales of Eternia - PSP
Devil May Cry 3 - PS2
Psychonaughts - PS2
I'll be much more active now i'm not 100's of miles from the nearest computer or internet connection.

I know it's wednesday instead of saturday but oh well. I'm starting in 8 minutes and then i'll be playing non-stop for 15 hours.
I'll keep some notes and take screenshots from time to time.
Well here i go 7 minutes to go :).
I'm starting anew with a random class, i'll go through parts of the story and wander a lot for these 15 hours.
I'm not that practiced but i have played for about 3 hours already (different save).
Here i go!

As unbelievable as it is, the game works! Elder scrolls IV: Oblivion (pc version) works on my computer, i'm schoked, i've returned many a game that my computer couldn't deal with.
So, i've not only got it sooner then expected, tuesday instead of friday but it works.
The screenshot system is in place so i can make hundreds of pictures of my experience and post the best ones here.
I'm also considering moving up the date, i may even do it tomorrow.
Also i want this to be an awesome experience so ill be taking notes, screenshots and i'll certainly stick to it, i'm serious :).
The rules are...
15 hours must be done, toilet breaks are allowed, if the computer freezes it must be restarted and continued. I can do as i wish travelling randomly or following stories. To eat or drink i have to be quick or eating at the computer. I'll save every 5-10 minutes. I start from scratch and i'll systematically take screenies. Maybe i can set up a chat system i dunno, i know i could use xfire perhaps. ANd most importantly, i'll have fun :).
Lol i'll be saving up to 180 times.

Well the whole marathon idea is getting more and more likely and right now it's practically a certainty. The deal was if i did a certain amount of work (a week's worth) this week i'd be able to get oblivion. Seen as i'm totally stoked about the game i've somehow managed to finish all the weeks worth in two days. I'm pretty sure i'll be getting the game at around 6pm tonight.
I'm going to keep some sort or diary, which basically means i'll keep notes about it as i go along and give a time perhaps, also i'll be taking screenshots to go with the notes, (which i'll add detail to when i've finished) and put it all together in a blog message or two, maybe three, one for each 5 hours.
In gamespot related news you may have noticed how insanely close to level 12 i am, well i did too, lol the levelling system likes it's jokes (i was at 99.43%). I'm really looking forward to the kingdom heats live video review, and i was considering watching it, it's at a terrible time, that being 1am for us in the UK.
I may have mentioned that i've changed my banner and blog header, well yeah i have, i've "finally" changed my avatar as well, since i joined that was my pic (the dynasty warriors clip) and as i havent touched the game i thought i'd have a different one, i made it quite simplyby downsizin the face of a guy in call of duty 2. The banner is an oblivion knight together with an american from world war 2, some fancy editting and i like the finished peice. (Though it isn't working for me right now).
Hmm..other than that i'm getting better at call of duty 2 and have hopefully written a good review, i'm glad people have recommended it, makes it that much better. I'll write an oblivion review sometime which should also be quite accurate. That's about it everyone, i'll probably have reached over 100 hoursof both oblivion and call of duty 2 in the time off, in which i'm also going on holiday mind you.
Thank's for reading :)

New: I've found a screenshot program which will let me take as many screenshots as i like with the press of a single button that being / the left most one, so i can still use / if i need too. I might even present it well *gasp*, for now i'm just awaiting the game.

I've just finished my latest review for Call of duty 2 and excellent game that i've now spent over 40 hours playing, please read and if you find it helpful don't hesitate to recommend it :).
As of the title i've been inspired by the recent gamespot live gameplay marathon, he managed a twelve hour run of oblivion. I'm going to have a go at doing pretty much the same thing. I don't own oblivion but may in the near forseeable future, which means i may have it in a few days. If i do get said game and it works for my computer then i plan on a 15 hour marathon. If not then a 15 hour call of duty marathon. It may sound like nothing, but it's been years since i played a single game for anywhere near that long. I'm determined to try this though sounds like fun. Also i'll be strict and try to prove that i'm doing it, maybe screenies or something.
I'll be doing the marathon on Saturday, April 1st.
Yes i know, april fools day, to be honest i only just figured that out, lol. It'll be my ...
"I pity the fool" Marathon!
Update!
I'm even more hyped about the marathon and i've made a new banner and blog header, the banner shows a person from call of duty 2 and someone from oblivion, tow games i hope to play loads.

A gamer's duty
by Zaxex on Comments
I've gained a reasonable amount of experience at Call of duty 2, for a week anyway. I've just finished my first week of owning the game and right now i have 29 Hours of playing the game online and 9 hours of playing the campaign. So that's 38 hours, i'm hoping to join a clan someday or find someone to spar with frequently. For now i just practice on random servers.
Other then that i've just got the "artistic genious" emblem which i'm glad about, i thought none of the 5 o so banners i submitted were accpeted and two weeks later i fin that three were. So if you go to the following games the banner at the top was made by me. (I know two of them are really old :P).
Crash Bandicoot 2
Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Battle 22
Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires
^Same banner for the PS2 version as well.
Other News
In other news i'm nearing level 12 and have just quit school lol, i'm going to start homeschooling which means about twice as much gaming now :~). I should be getting Elder scrolls IV: oblivion on pc in a few days, fingers crossed. I'm going on holiday ina fortnight for a week. I've just read two 500 page books in four days. I'm pretty sure that's about it, see you later folks.

I haven't been able to go online with call of duty 2 (got it at the weekend) since the first few hours, nothing i did changed anything the ping(lag) made all the games unbearable.
But now i've figured it out, my sisters' laptop was hogging all the internets speed slowing this one down in a big way. The ping is about 500 when she's on hers and about 17 when she's not.
I'm glad that's sorted, i had to post-pone a clan trial and play 8 hours of story mode as that's all i had with the game.
So now i can play multi-player call of duty 2 to my hearts content, well so long as she doesn't go on her comp or leave things downloading all day and night...
Well with that done, if anyone wants some sparring practice on call of duty feel free to add me on msn zaxex@hotmail.co.uk .
