@Landsharkk I rather like the additional tech article on GS from time to time. And plenty of people play games on their tablets so it's not really out of place. Plus it brings out all the apple fanboys and haters which makes for a fun comments section.
Similar as possible on different platforms huh? If Dead Space 2 is any indication of how they intend to do that then I don't expect much.
The graphics were okay all things considered, but for about a month after release there was a "bug" that prevented players from unlocking a number of the additional rigs after completing the game as well as the hand canon not being awarded from hardcore mode. Users found a way to extract these files so that they could be obtained in literally half the time it took the developers to release a patch or even a comment on the issue.
And of course being denied the dlc that made it to consoles was another way Visceral/EA showed how important Dead Space was on PC.
Not gonna make the same mistake of buying Dead Space at launch again. They're great games but don't get the support they deserve on the PC.
@abcdefgabcdefgz If you're a real nit picky person you'll realize that not even the absolute best graphics on the most graphically impressive game out there on PC is all that great. The environments our characters walk around in and interact with are mainly just pictures and when you get in close to anything you can tell there's still a lot of work to be done. Until every grain of sand on a virtual beach is rendered, graphics still have a long way to go.
@darkjedilink @deadpeasant It's the "same few game franchises" that keeps Nintendo's console market afloat. Third party support has been lacking for their machines for years and with so many options available for people now, those familiar characters just won't cut it anymore.
Ah, Wind Waker. Such a good game. If and when they decide to bring it to a handheld I'll play it again. Not even something as intriguing as Zelda can make me shell out for the U.
Gears One was The game to play. Beat the campaign eight times (never done that with any other game heh), played the hell out of the multiplayer, and for 2006 it was utterly stunning how great it looked. Got all the maps for free and loved how gritty and intimate the combat was versus all the other shooters out there. Don't know about Judgement, but Gears One was bloody fun.
