I am more than impressed with the reviews. IGN don't give 10s out for nothing. I have never played Halo before but I think I'm going to be picking Reach up.

Yeah, you have to be either Pokemon, Zelda or Mario. There's about two Metal Gear Solid games and a bunch of old games that are most likely older than the people who now work for IGN.

The answer is simple.

Microsoft never sent out that check to the reviewers.

Yep.

roflcopter317

oh really? how?

Read first post. Only games the pc has that are shooters (in the past 5 years or so) are Crysis (AAA), Stalker (the original AA), Crysis Warhead (AA), some swat 4 expansion (Got into AA by 0.6%) and that is basicly it (ARMA is A). 360 has Halo: 3 (AAA), Gears 2 (AAA), Gears 3 (most likely AAA). Halo: Reach (AAA), Halo: ODST (AA), Shadow complex (AA), REZ HD (AA, arcade game, in list of shooters), Portal still alive (AA expansion NOT on pc), Crackdown (AA), Perfect dark: Zero (AA), The darkness (AA). It looks like the pc lacks to me.

Lol oh my..

You posted an argument about how expansions shouldn't count on PC yet you list two for consoles. One that offers less content than a full retail game and one that's on PC for free.

All of the above + terrible game

Tokeism

If by terrible you mean it requires you to think and actually aim yourself instead of the game doing it for you, and also use teamwork then sure, it was a terrible game.

[QUOTE="TacticaI"]It would be dope If I could still use my SSFIV theme.Richymisiak

Aren't themes still compatible? I don't see why they wouldn't be. It's still the same basic layout.

maybe its a pre NXE theme? [didn't SFIV get released before NXE? or at least close to]

He said SSFIV which came out after NXE.

That would be dumb if we can't use our themes with the new update, but it is Microsoft so it wouldn't suprise me either.

 but Modern Warfare 2 gets a 9.75

Guess Microsoft should have sent them some extra cash like Activision did.

[QUOTE="savagetwinkie"]PC's don't have as much action adventure / plat formers with arcade and indie games for 360.savagetwinkie

The PC definitely has more action adventure / platformers than the 360. Between freeware, flash games, mods, multiplatform games, games from previous generations, current indie games, etc...it's not even a fair contest.

You're including freeware and flash games lol... Sorry I'm talking about good games, not garbage to pass the time during a class. 360 has more games I want to play, I don't like RTS so it eliminates a lot of the exclusives, if PC really was the ultimate gaming machine than there would be no reason to even own a console, but thats not the case, there's a lot on consoles that PC doesn't offer.

Funny you say that because most games you've played on Xbox are on PC, especially your last 5 games I believe are ALL on PC.

Uncharted is definitely a shooter. IGN and GameSpot don't list it under shooter because it's not a pure shooter like Gears of War or Ghost Recon.

Learn to think for yourself.

jasonharris48

I don't really consider Dude Raider a shooter (kidding on the title). I always looked the Uncharted series as an Action-Adventure series.

Why?

The entire game is about you running from point A to point B shooting bad guys. Yeah, maybe in between point A and point B there's a little platforming, such as climbing over a wall, but that doesn't make a difference. Action Adventure is a genre created on consoles because gaming sites like IGN and GameSpot decide "Oh, this isn't 100% puzzle, let's throw it into Action Adventure" or "Oh, this isn't 100% fighting, let's throw this into Action Adventure"

Most PC-centric sites just refer to the genre as Action to avoid pointless debates like this.
