Good Lord, I hate Kids that think because their is a dry spell of games for PC that PC gaming is dead. Gimme a break.

I'd say if you like the PC get the PC. Yeah sure the xbox 360 and ps3 are cheaper but you also remind you you have to have a decent enough tv to make it look halfway decent. Yeah that means LCD with HD and all that nice mumbo jumbo and it aint cheap.

Plus Upgrading a PC doesn't have to expensive. I priced a mobo, 2 GB of RAM, an 8800 GTS, an INTEL and AMD and both were under 1000. Oh and if you need a PSU you can get those CHEAP too. So for under 1000 you can upgrade and play alot of games on HIGH. Oh yeah and if you want 2 8800 GTS it runs like 1100 bucks :).

THats pretty cheap because if I wanted to get any console today...Id pay 2000 dollars easy. You say no way I say yes way Id need a new TV and even a small TV with the capabilities for the new consoles aren't cheap. Plus the console PLUS controllers PLUS games and PLUS any accessories needed.

Plus for MP your gonna tone down the graphics anyway.

Most people if you play it smart all you'll ever have to do is upgrade here and there. Computer Chips are becoming cheaper and cheaper....Mobos are becoming cheaper and cheaper. MOst computer parts are becoming cheaper and cheaper. Hell I talked to one of my friends from highschool who nabbed a maxtor 160 GB 7200 RPM sata for 50 bucks today or would have but he decided he didnt need it.

So If you do the research and buy a computer new and are smart about it in the future you'll save hunderds of dollars if not thousands. Where as with every console you'll always have to buy a new machine and pray tell what will you do with those old machines that are now rendered useless?

So my opinion stick with PC gaming my friend but if you want to have something just to do go buy a PS3 i like their controllers better.

Id have to say GRAW was pretty bad. Faces of War was pretty bad. Call of Duty 2 regardless that I still play it. It has so many faults its not even funny. WoW is bad too repetitive and dated graphics.

Stalker was great it had some bugs but It ran great on my machine. Multiplayer had some issues but that was about it. Plus Um the game is about Chernoybl and if you haven't read it got blew the F*** Up. So yeah they ain't gonna be much left.

I'd say probably alot of other games that I could search for that I never bought that were horrible.

Wow you guys claim to have hte first PC's and i had an older one when i was just a kid and im only 20. Had DOS then windows 3.1 first computer game i played was a qbasic game where it was 2 gorillas throwing a banana.

Why arent there so many games for PC in comparison to console?

1. Periferals, Not all PC users have an analog controler. And most dont have the best Mouse to play with. If I had to create a Plataform/Racing or a Adventure type game for PC I would then have the dificulty to deal with if the users have a analog controler and if they do wich one. Compatibility with Periferals can be a bit issue... imagine if all PCs had the Wii Controls as a standard default setup. Easy to deal right? That is why most PC games are FFS, MMO, Simulators and Strategy.

2. Hardware and Software compability, All Computers are diferent, even if you buy two identical pcs but used by diferent users in a matter of time both will run with diferent softwares and versions of their particular softwares. Is everything up to date? is the Graphics card softwareup to date? Operating System software up to date?Every game that is released for pc their chances are that they have at least to release a patch to cover errors graphically or other causing crashes. Making a PC game its not easy, you got to as well think will you make the hardcore game for hardcore players? (example crysis) or will you make the for everyone compatible game so everyone can play? (WoW) Every pc is diferent but the game has to work in every PC (at least the company sucks and they give a damn about the customers) And think about some games are as well done for Apple.

3. Hardware "update", The hardware changes all the time with PC, a new procesor is released, a new memory ram is released, a new GRAPHICS CARD IS RELEASED, honestly some times I think they release a new Graphics card every month or two between Ati and Nvidia. Imagine if you where a hardcore player, most of em buy a new graphics card a year... and that is expensive. If you knew a new released game was not worthed to play because you dont have a decent Graphics card you would not buy the game. Now PCs get updated all the time. With consoles is a once buy and compatible to a five year life spawn if you buy the console in the first year and does not end up "a la" Dreamcast.... Not everyone can spend 300-1000 dollars a year just to update their system to play 4-6 new games its crazy.

4.Piracy, Imagine that you take all your dedication and effort, money and time to make a fantastic game rated 7.5 to 9.9 and the sales are reduced 25% or morebecause everyone that has some knoledge with PCs and Internet can download your game in a touch (and then shared with their friends or sold for $5 at work/school). Some expetise with some P2P server, Bit torrent or Mirc and your game can be played in and pc for free with no hastle. Its even easier than buying in a internet shop or going to your games shop and spending the money. This is a very big issue and most games that dont have any online multiplayer and consist of a Single player campaign are released in Consoles for this reason. Thank god that I have some respect for the Creators because if not every single PC game I would have would be pirated as I only use piracy to try games. If I really like it I buy it. If not I simply delete it.

5.Dedication, Most PC gamers they dedicate their life to one game and hardly get out to play other games, for example, Warcraft (wow or WC3) Diablo, Counter Strike, any weird online Rpg or such. What about Sims? Sims 2? Starcraft?They simply get stuck with one game and dont play anything else, while Console there is more diversity and even do they are games that you can play for like ever (GTA or FF) people do get sick and then go around playing other games.

Are there any more reasons? hell I would not make games for PC for sure at least it was a very good pc game that everyone would buy... (thank you blizzard)

Well id say you have some half truths in here

for one thing

2 major CPUdevelopers INTEL and AMD so theres not alot of difference you either have INTEL or AMD

2 major GPU developers ATI and NVIDIA so not hard to find anything for these either

Piracy?!?! wtf give me a break the companies making games out there have been cracking down on that stuff for years now making it harder and harder for people to play the games at all or if you can you can only use the SP side of it without any functional MP because people are too lazy to by a 40 to 50 dollar game.

Peripherals wtf are you talking about most PC users have a mouse and keyboard and maybe a joystick for flying hardly anyone uses a gamepad out there because they aren't that popular with PC users thats why people by a PC for the mouse, keyboard interface.

Dedication to a single game doesn't that show that they support the company that made it and like their games? So thats a good thing and PC gamers have a wide diversity of games to play from and there are more people playing different games out there than you know about just because they aren't logged on xfire recording minutes played doesn't mean jack.

Hardware updates take awhile its definitely not every 2 to 3 months or no one would be going anywhere because your console systems would be upgraded along with our PC's because guess what a console is! Its a mini computer with different peripherals thats about it. The newer consoles have either intel, nvidia, amd, or ati parts in them for sure!

Compatibility isn't that hard to correct if someone does the research and most configurations have few problems in this regard and software updating is necessary everything has bugs including consoles so quit trying to light the console as a perfect machine because they are not even close.

Id also have to agree that most console games are junk they are made quickly just to make a buck but the PC as of late has been suffering from that but things are changing the community is communicating back and gettin fed up with the crap thats why all these new looking games that are coming out are taking awhile because they want it to be worthwhile if you need an example look at Unreal Tournament 3 thats been announced since like late 2005 early 2006 and its still not set on a definite date.
