As someone who has always been more of an Alien fan than an Aliens fan, this game looks extremely intriguing. I prefer my Xenomorphs with heavy atmosphere and high-strung tension over catchphrases and shootouts.

Don't get me wrong, I love Aliens, but I think the games that have spawned from the movie series have had more than enough action and not nearly enough horror. Additionally, I hope that this game will help to heal the wounds left by the colossal disappointment that is Colonial Marines. *shudders*

I'll wait till the new generation gets some exclusives I really care about. Watch Dogs and Dark Souls II should be more than enough to hold me over for a good chunk of 2014.

@josephblower1612 While I may have said I wasn't fond of Cage's statements, I completely respect your opinion and I see where you're coming from. B:TS does some things excellently, and while I didn't love the game on the whole, I completely understand why it has already gained devoted fans.

@josephblower1612 @ZombehDino We're going to have to agree to disagree then. I think he chose his words very poorly. I seriously doubt that he's genuinely an egotistical person, but in this situation I think he should have given more consideration to his statements.

But again, I don't mind these kinds of games being made, and I don't believe that they're terrible. I personally just don't find them to be phenomenally enjoyable. I understand that they take great amounts of effort to create and they are stellar artistic achievements on many levels (i.e. voice acting, animation quality, narrative), but I've never been extremely enticed by them.

I actually think B:TS did a better job at grabbing my attention than Heavy Rain, as the ability to control Aiden made me feel significantly more involved in the game's world and gave the gameplay less of a "context-sensitive only" feeling to it.

@Zevvion @ZombehDino Absolutely. It's a bit ludicrous that he feels his games are so extremely cutting edge. He also seems to forget that video games can tell stories in unique ways BECAUSE of gameplay, not it spite of it. Take Spec Ops: The Line, for example. That game did an excellent job of using the fact that the player controlled the main character to make them feel awful about the horrible acts the "hero" committed. The "white sulfur" scene is undoubtedly the best example in the game of that. Cage seems to view more gameplay more as a burden than a benefit.

I have no problem with Cage making the kinds of games he's making, even though I personally don't care for them. If he has a vision and wants to bring it to life, then more power to him. He's an artist and can make his art as he sees fit.

...However, I DO have a problem with Cage whining about how the gaming masses can't comprehend his glorious masterworks, and if they'd only buy his newest project, then they'd understand. That's insulting, in my opinion. Even if a game is unconventional, that doesn't necessarily mean it's great.

Because GTAV, Watch Dogs, and Dark Souls II are all coming out for consoles of the current generation, I think hold out on getting an XBONE or a PS4. I'll wait until some games that genuinely interest me come along.

I like this idea a lot. I would totally buy this with Pokemon X and Y (I don't have a 3DS as of now), but my god, that design is atrocious. Why would they ditch the hinged layout? It's easy to use, looks good, and puts the touch screen in a comfortable place. This "tablet" design is just mindbogglingly awful.

Nintendo, just go back to the hinged layout and I'll buy this thing. If not, I honestly might just pass on the 3DS/2DS altogether.

The setting and production values look phenomenal, it's too bad the gameplay looks so uninteresting.

This game didn't look that interesting to begin with. Now it's somehow become even LESS appealing with this announcement.
