DAMN IT!!!
For a minute, i thought you meant it was gone for good.
Send CM Punk to RAW, build him up as a heel. Have Benoit put him over once he's there after WM.
Send Lashley back to Smackdown where he belongs. The brand was being built around him as the the future top babyface before he left.
Send Kevin Thorn to Smackdown. Decent lower/mid card character.
Send Rob Van Dam to Smackdown, since they're in serious need of some credible babyfaces.
Send Elijah Burke to RAW. Turn him heel as the opposition to Cryme Tyme. Bring in Homicide as his partner. (Hey, a man can dream)
Hahaha, that's awesome. Way to go Mercury!
Stephanie has deserved it for years. It was long overdue.
Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan, and Kevin Nash, plain and simple. From day one, Bischoff had his head up his ass. If you don't believe me, just go back and watch most of pre-NWO Nitro. He couldn't book a good wrestling show to save his life. All he did was bring in Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage (who were rejected by the south and failed to maintain high ratings and buyrates after the initial buzz wore off) and americanize New Japan vs. UWFi. "Why fix something that isn't broken?" That quote alone shows just how little of a mind he had for a business that's all about constant change. He got over on a fluke.
Hogan and Nash are self explanatory.
The writing was on the wall long before Russo entered the scene. All he did was shoot a dying horse.
*sigh*
These are getting harder and harder to write.
Bad News Allen - Considered by many to be an in-ring peronality that was way ahead of his time. Often referred to as "Black Steve Ausin." Good wrestling mind who helped propel the careers of many in the Stampede territory. Had one of the most interesting yet overlooked careers in Pro-Wrestling.
Ernie Ladd - For his time, Ernie Ladd was truly one of a kind. Next to Big John Studd, Blackjack Mulligan, Giant Baba, and Andre the Giant, he was one of the tallest workers in the world standing at over 6"9. In addition to his size which made him an instant gate attraction, he was a fantastic athlete who successfully made the transition from football to Pro Wrestling. A big hit in the Mid-South territory, and booked it during one of its finest periods. Whether it was New York, The Twin Cities/AWA, Mid-South, Georgia, Florida, or Texas, Ernie Ladd was over anywhere he went. Above all else, Ernie Ladd will probably go down as one of the first big African American drawing cards in Pro-Wrestling history.
Good news. New Japan has been no man's land for years. Simon's management didn't make it any better. It's been aching for a change like this. Hopefully who ever steps up will turn it around.
Let's see how the crowd reacts to him consistently, first. After that dreaded angle, i would think that the rest of his career would be spent on the mid-card.
If not, i'd like to see another attempt at a world title run.
