I'm thinking of upgrading this gradually to 2gb (the limit)

and I have been told to add the latest geforce 7 series graphics card.

The problem is installing stuff I have no idea about computering or even the RAM type I need.

My power supply is 300w is that good enough for a latest graphics card?

thanks

I have this TV as my family set

Crystal clear image, ultra fast response time and no ghosting.

Very good for gaming IMO

Given this, you have PCI-express. Depending on your budget, go with a GeForce 7600 GT (USD$110 at Newegg), GeForce 7900 GS (USD$190 at Newegg), or the new 8800 GTX for around USD$400 (or was it USD$500?) on Newegg.

Edit:  Seeing that you're going to sites for the UK, Newegg isn't an option since they only take orders within the US.  The idea is still the same though.  UK means pounds and about a 1.8 conversion, the 7600 GT is around GBP£60, the 7900 GS around GBP£105, and the 8800 GTX around GBP£220 (values are 3-second mental calculations).
