[QUOTE="__Sniper_28_"]So basically because I don't have a uber graphics card yet that it is a waste?mastershake575
Um no because you got highend ram/motherboard and you won't overclock. Thats kinda the reason people buy those parts and you could get a much cheaper case to cool your system. There's lots of waste in that computer even the video card because it can't utilize 512mb of VRAM

Pretty sure I said nothing about overclocking... So basically because I don't have an uber graphics card yet that it is a waste? Also... "How is my gpu suffering? Can you suggest another one at about 100 bucks?"

How do I know a case is quieter? Everyone that reviewed it said the case is silent. How is my gpu suffering? Can you suggest another one at about 100 bucks? And my computer is going to expand. The case is something I really just threw on there. Havn't found a really good looking mid tower yet, especially since all the good looking cases turn out to be false colored ones. Everything there can fit in a midtower right? I mostly game online, and pc online gaming is ruined with all the hacks, that's why I just stick to my ps3 for online gaming. But, I do play some games, (All the command and conquor ones, mostly will get Red Alert 3 for pc instead of ps3 because of all the mods you can use, and most likely will get Delta Force: Angel Falls),

I think they are obsolete now. Unless you are going to put surround sound for your computer, or if you are a music maker guy dude. Also the cpu won't have to do as much work for sound I think.

https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=6762845 Some questions I am still not sure about with my build. 1. That OS, it's 32 bit right? 2. That graphics card will connect to my motherboard just fine right? 3. That motherboard, and rest of the stuff, it can fit just fine in my case I picked out right? (motherboard needs 24 pin power, not sure if case has that) 4. I got all the stuff needed for SATA right? 5. How big of a power supply unit am I going to need? 6. Is there anything that is wrong or a bad choice to buy you think? (I'm not buying this as a gaming computer, I just had the okay graphics card in there for "just in case") I'll find a mouse later at best buy, all the ones I see on newegg are fancy ones, and the power supply unit which I am not sure how big of one I need, I could get at best buy also when I get my mouse.

Okay thanks, I just really need a new computer to program in, this old one I'm on blows, and I need to bring a new good one to college too. Like I'm making this game right and since my JDK tools and all that are taking up all my ram, the game I load up to test doesn't have enough ram, so not everything loads, so I wasted like 2 days worth of time trying to fix this problem of stuff not loading, turns out, I just needed more ram, (found out by closing everything down and then running my game, what do you know, everything works perfectly Edit: I was actually surprised I could post here, because I'm ip banned frmo posting on game message boards that are part of gamefaqs, and my ip got so bad on gamefaqs too that they won't let me create new accounts. :-(

[QUOTE="__Sniper_28_"][QUOTE="Velocitas8"]

Motherboard memory specifications only refer to system memory, not video memory.

No worries; as long as your motherboard can interface with the video card properly (via PCI-Express in this case), it'll work.

Velocitas8

but if my ram I am going to have is DDR2 800, then it won't be able to support this GDDR3? Ram == system memory right?

RAM = System memory, yes.

You can't buy GDDR3 system memory; it's a specification for video memory.

I'm running with 4GB of DDR2 800 memory and an 8800GTS with 512MB of GDDR3. As I said, it'll work fine as long as your motherboard can interface with the video card.

Alright, but how can I know the motherboard can support specification for video memory of type GDDR3? Or can all computers / motherboards do that? Going back and fourth between two topics is werid. EDIT: okay thanks.
