That is only because Sony had the biggest market.  If somebody puts out a game they think is niche they are going to want to appeal to the biggest market.  Problem is, now Sony is the smallest market.  Expect that variety to be broken up between Wii and 360.

I agree with those that said it won't.  It has taken the spot of the PS2 for this gen in many peoples eyes.

It is allready cheaper, imagine if they do a price drop (spring is traditional).   That would  make the price difference  minimum $200 by  Christmas.

360 is getting most of PS3's strongest games, VF5, Assassins Creed, UT3.  PS3 does have exclusives but pit them up against Gears of War and Halo 3.  MS seems mighty strong right now in first party lineup.

MS is getting pretty much everything being put out by 3rd party(with the exception of FF and MGS) and they have stronger first party games.

360 just has too much steam right now for PS3 to catch up.  Why buy a PS3, to play R6 Vegas, Oblivion, Fear etc?  Games that could be played months ago on 360?

i think ps3 sales will go up when GTAIV comes out, i know it's multiplat but i know people in the target audience and they idiotically say "it'll be better on ps3" so people will stupidly lay down 1000 dollars for one crappy game.

Some do, but most look to their hardcore gaming nerd friends (i.e. us)  and they will definately look at price of hardware.  I think the presumption "it will be better on PS3" has actually been laid to rest already.  Word of mouth has spread, alot of people who own a PS3 also own a 360 and are dissapointed.

Um..yeah.. That's like saying Wii had an online service just because of the adapter Gamecube had... Live was carried over from the Xbox. PSN started with PS3.

Bullshiat  PSN network has been around since PS2 and they are doing the same catch up they tried to do then.  Sony tried to do a network, tried to do a "friends list" even back in the day.  They have the same problems today that they did then with the friends list being for each game specifically.
