I learned not to trust EA the hard way. I had to wait three weeks to play Medal Of Honor Airborne because of a botched DRM scheme. These guys will never learn. If you need to get your city building sim fix, there's always SimCity 4 or even CitiesXL, both of which can be bought on a platform that actually works and can be played offline.
Fantastic rant Kevin. I am (I was?) a SimCity fan, but when I heard EA was jumpin on to the always-on bandwagon, I decided I wasn't going to buy the new version. And don't get me started on that bullshit "social experience" canned explanation.
I didn't buy A Virus Named Tom when it was released, but since the devs are so freaking nice, I'll buy it on Steam.
