I just don't see why any developer affiliated with producing a game would run-down an entire fan-base of people they're trying to sell their product to. That's a terrible mistake and any person who would say that probably has no business speaking out publicly to the buying community. If the console sucks so much and is so terrible to develop for, why do they even do it?
I just don't understand how one company can completely run down a console and call it crap while other companies seem to be having no problem with it. Just look at Activision and Infinity Ward with Call Of Duty 4, they're developing that game for both consoles independently and have expressed no concerns with either one. When you hear about other companies not having the same issues as Valve it makes you wonder if they really aren't just cheap, lazy developers. ;)
Those button pressing sequences are lame in my opinion. I'd be able to get into the game better if I could actually watch the dramatic (supposedly) cutscenes instead of staring at the screen on edge waiting for the next button to flash up.
Also, I agree, I felt the melee attacks were too unresponsive and confusing. As others have pointed out, I couldn't tell if I was hitting the other guy or missing or where the enemy even was half of the time.
Ya know another thing that bothers me? Is that Killzone 2 is more anticipated than Resistance 2. Resistance is not just the best PS3 game, but it's one of the best action/shooter games out there - period. I usually dont like FPS alot, but Resistance is a total exception. The overall dark/doomed theme of the game, the colors, the setting, the Chimera, the music, everything about that game is awesome. People compare it to Gears, which is extremely unfair cause it's a launch game, but Resistance is amazing, and Resistance 2 is a sure bank money maker for Sony. I dont feel like RFOM was appreciated enough, even by Sony. carljohnson3456
I would have to disagree with you there, because Resistance pretty much bored me to sleep. The first couple of levels were kind of fun, but after that it got sooooooooooooooooooooo repetitive that it was almost painful trying to finish it, but I felt like I needed to for the ending, which wasn't very exciting. I also thought the online aspect got pretty boring after awhile, but that's just me. Whatever's your style man. :)
