Soul Cal has no reason to exist when tekken, SF and MK are as big as they are.
what a bizarre take.
there's room in the genre and gaming industry in general for games with their own flavor and style. Soul Calibur was and remains *the* premiere fighter with weapons at its design core.
It's like saying Battlefield shouldn't exist because Call of Duty and Counterstrike are big.
I'll also buy it day 1 if it reviews well.
As all should be clear on right now, there is NO advantage to pre-ordering and no in-game cosmetics are ever worth surrendering your financial power.
No, these gaming companies do not deserve you giving them a multi-month/year interest-free loan.
That's really unfortunate. The only place I will accept 30fps anymore is on mobile devices.
I guess my 4090 will have a new Bethesda toy to play with.
Microsoft needs to hurry up and address the Xbox app's longstanding issues with install folders and removing games. Otherwise, their presence and Game Pass has been appreciated.
Mortal Kombat 2 on the hardest difficulty, on SNES I think it was.
The game would literally cheat. To the point where even if you input the cheat code so that you could kill with 1 hit of any kind, you'd still struggle to get through the game.
After that, I'm not sure. Not a lot of games that I couldn't beat if I actually got to the final boss. In most games, the final boss isn't the hardest enemy.
Undead Inc., Sand, and The Invincible look like they'll have amazing stories. Wishlisted.
Baldur's Gate 3 is going to slap regardless, but it's interesting that some of their footage was clearly older, as they lack basic features like shadows.
Damn it continues to be a good time to have a gaming PC. If you still don't have one to supplement your consoles, you're doing gaming wrong.
Path of Exile 2 on the way is INSANE. Holy smokes.
@Pedro: No many care about PC though. I mean an hour in and not one post from a hermit. They're too busy in MS showcase thread 🤣
PC is still the single biggest gaming market on the planet, commanding something like 40% of the entire market (phones excluded) with the 3 consoles splitting up the rest. The fact that System Wars is dead shouldn't be much of a reflection on the platform. Or any platform.
TLDR: Nobody cares about System Wars anymore and anyone who cares about gaming is probably posting somewhere else in 2023. But that was obvious by the fact that after you get past the first 6 or 7 threads, the most recent posts were a day+ ago. She's deader than dead, Jim.
I remember when post velocity on this forum was measured by seconds. Now, one post an hour is frequent and it appears to have slipped towards the grip incels. I see no community at all. Sad state of affairs. I hate returning to see it like this, but the exoduses that have happened and drain of quality posters are GameSpot's fault.
