I got Killer 7!

Finally! I'm only on the second level, but...WOW. What an amazing game! The graphics, while they seem like they would be bland and distasteful, are actually visually stunning. The sound is great, along with the voice acting, but the music could use some help. Most of the time, you can't even hear it, and when you do, it is too simple to add anything to the mood.

The gameplay is very unique, and the game does not have a definite genre. It is a mix of a rail shooter, an FPS, an adventure game, a puzzle game, a survival horror, and even has a few RPG elements thrown in. You cannot really control your character's movement, but instead you just press the A button, and he runs down the hall, where you can choose which direction to go next. If you hear the laughter of a Heaven Smile, you have to whip out your gun (different characters have different guns), and either blast away, or take your time and aim for their weak spot.

I won't spoil much of the story, but at the beginning of the game, you figure that the story is pretty much, go to that place, and kill that guy. Oh, and kill anybody that gets in your way. But, as the game progresses, you see that it is much more than that. While only a fraction of the game has yet to unfold to me, I am already intrigued.

All in all, buy this game. I think that Greg Kasavin summed it up well: "You're often left wondering just what the Hell is going on...this is a love it or hate it game."

Movies, Video Games, Anime, and...no money.

Right about now, there are around a dozen items that are on my must-buy list, and I have no money for anything. So, I will post my list, and hoefully some of my good friends here at Gamespot can help me to decide which items to buy first, if not just narrow the list down. Here we go:

1. Equilibrium.

What an AWESOME movie. This splendid motion picture came out at the same time as The Matrix, so unfortunately, it received none of the hype that it deserved. "Forget The Matrix!", the cover raves. And I agree. I knew nothing about this move until about a week or so ago. I was at my brother's house, and we watched it. Wow. An awesome storyline, awesome action sequences, and Gun Kata. That's right, martial arts with guns. If you haven't seen this movie, see it now.

2. Samurai Champloo, vol. 1-4

It's been a while since I've seen a good anime (besides Hellsing), but this one takes the cake. I rarely watch it, but when I get the chance, I flip to Adult Swim at 12:30, and watch. This is one beautiful anime, and I look forward to buying all four volumes. Let's see, that's...about $120.

3. Killer 7

I have heard mixed reviews for this game, so it is last on my wish list.

4. Geist

It's Geist! You can possess anything, 'nuff said.

5. Sin City

I saw it three times in theaters, and rented it again this weekend. Now all that's left is to buy it. The Bruce Willis version.

Well, I guess that's my wish list. I guess it wasn't a dozen things, but the prices make it seem like it is.

Leaving for a week, and what is possibly my final sig.

Well, I have resigned my position as officer of the Gaming Art Union, and as a sort of "final goodbye", I made what I think is my best sig. I have been way too busy lately to make sigs, and the main reason that I came to Gamespot was for one thing: the gaming. So, I will focus more on that instead of making sigs.

I will still take sig requests, as I have been doing for quite some time now, but no more sigs for myself. Here is my latest:

And on another note, I am leaving to go stay with me brother for a week. He still has a computer, so I will still be on GS, but it kind of sucks because one of my friends is out of town, and I will be at my brother's house by the time he gets back.

That's about it, hope you had fun.

Next Gen and my new(est) review

Well, I wrote a review a while ago, but I haven't really advertised it in my journal yet. So, go check out my P.N. 03 review! I gave it a 9.3.

And on another note, I have finally decided: I'm getting a PS3 before any of the other next gen systems. Why? Two reasons: Metal Gear Solid 4 and Resident Evil 5. Two of my most beloved game series, all coming together with sequels on a next gen system.

So far, the latest games in both of those series have been the best (RE4 and MGS3). I recently bought MGS3, as some of you may know, and it might actually be my favorite game of all time. I don't know what it is about it, but I have only had it for two weeks and I am on my sixth playthrough. I have almost everything that you can unlock, I just recently got the Mosin Nagant, and I am about one hour of gameplay away from getting the Stealth Camo.

That's about it. Until next time.

The tension is killing me.

Well, since my last journal entry, a lot has happened. It has been three weeks since I bought the PS2, and I already have a memory card, a controller, and three games: Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

I am out of town for the weekend, and I bought Snake Eater on Friday because the store that I saw it at was selling it new for $19.99, whereas the store where I live has it used for $31.99. What a rip-off! Anyway, since I'm out of town, I don't have my PS2 here, so the tension just keeps building up. I want to play it so bad, but all I can do is sit across the room and stare at it. I have officially read every single word in the instruction manual, but nothing helps. I want nothing more than to pop it in the disk tray and hear the sweet sound of Snake's teeth sinking into a snake's back. But, since my mind is so fixated on Snake Eater that I can take no joy in anything else. In other words, I am bored out of my mind. Oh well, within 24 hours I will be back home.

Anyway, I have seen some pretty good movies lately, too. I saw "Mr. and Mrs. Smith", which is probably my favorite film of the year. The first half of the movie is absolutely hilarious. And I mean the kind of jokes that make you laugh so hard that you are almost crying, and the movie is filled with them, one after the other. Then, the second half is filled with non-stop action that keeps you on the edge of your seat. What a great show.

Also, yesterday I saw "War of the Worlds", which was pretty decent. The special effects were amazing, and there was never a dull moment throughout the whole movie. All in all it was a good movie, but it lacked a lot of depth. Why did they come here? Where are they from? Too many questions left unanswered.

Well, that's about it, I'm even boring myself now.

I'm getting a PS2 tomorrow!

My friend had a PS2, and then he bought the newer, thinner one, so I convinced him to sell me his old one for $20. I don't know why he hadn't sold it already, but I know it works because I tried it out the other day.

The only downside is that he probably won't throw in any controllers, memory cards, or games with the PS2, so it may be a while longer before I can even play anything. He offered to let me borrow God of War, so maybe I can convince him to let me borrow a controller, too.

Finally, I can buy games like God of War, Killzone, Soul Calibur 3, and Katamari Damacy (which is the wierdest, most addicting game on the face of this earth).

Second Best XIII Player in the State!

Okay, so the XIII state championships were on Saturday in Murray, and I went and pulled off second place. I should have gotten frst, but the guy cheated in the final round of Team Deathmatch and beat me...but seriously, he won fair and square. I got a free pair of cool sunglasses, a certificate, and my name printed in the paper.

That's about it, just wanted to post that.

An entire weekend of my friend, P.N.03...

This entire Memorial Day weekend, I must have spent 37 hours playing P.N.03. I have been trying to unlock the Papillon suit (for the ummm...obvious perks), but first I had to unlock the Blackbird.

To get the Blackbird, you have to but every suit and unlock every Energy Drive. Considering that I only owned one suit prior to this weekend, that's 2,580,000 points just for the suits, the Energy drives average around 100,000 points each, and I think there are 18 of them. Plus, after I bought the Ultra Blazer, I had to power that up to the max, so that's another several hundred thousand points. That's a lot of money.

So, eventually I got all of the suits and all of the Energy Drives, and finished the game to receive the Blackbird. Then, I had to start a new game to earn enough points to upgrade the Blackbird to the maximum levels.

Now it's on to the Papillon. To get the Papillon, you have to get a Professional ranking in all 50 Trial Missions, and an overall Professional ranking in the story missions. So, I get to level 5 and realize that you have to do it in Normal mode. I was working in Easy mode, because I figured I would get points easier. 24 missions, and I had to start over. Damn.

Well, that pretty much describes my weekend. And while we are on the topic of P.N.03, rate my newest sig:

Wow! Another injury! Yippee!

Okay, so I broke my clavicle on Friday, so I can't type very well. So don't be expecting a big long journal entry. Also, please excuse any typos.

Me and some friends were playing football. Anyway, it's tie game, and I go out for a long pass. I look to the ball, and the glare from the sun almost blinds me. But, I miraculously pull off a spectacular catch. I look forward, and see a defender staring me down. I juke right, and go left, causing the guy to slip in the early morning dew. He extends his arm towards me, and trips me.

I go down hard, landing squarely on my left shoulder. CRACK!!! SNAP!!! I can feel the bone snap and push up into my neck area.

Anyway, to make a long story short, I snapped my collarbone in two places. What a horrible last month this has been. Oh well, at least I got the first down.

Wow. That hurts.

The other day I was at my friend's house and his little brothers kept bugging us to jump on the trampoline. So, I finally caved, and we headed for the back yard.

Once we reached the trampoline, we started to wrastle, and I was up against my friend. I am not a big fan of wrestling, but he is about a foot taller than me. So, I decided to try and intimidate him. I jump out, let out a battle cry, and did a cannonball. However, it was one of those tramps that is built into the ground, and the hole that was dug beneath it was not deep enough. So, I went dooown, and BAM! landed flat on the ground, right on my coccyx. My tailbone. My butt.

I started writhing around on the ground in pain, and eventually got off the tramp. I could barely walk back into the house, I had to have my friend help me back inside. So, eventually I get in my car to go home, and I am in a lot of pain. So, I end up going to the hospital, and find out that I have a pinched spinal column. I had to stick an ice pack down my pants, and lay down for a day or two. I couldn't walk, I couldn't laugh, cough or sneeze without screaming in pain, and I certainly couldn't go do anything with my friends.

That was Saturday, and it is now Wednesday. I think that it has healed by now, I can walk and run and such, but I can't sit in one position for too long.

And I have decided...I am never getting on a trampoline again.
