@nini200: I've tried chrome, firefox and IE. it's not a compatibility thing....it is a "multiple games being downloaded with a Family Account thing (I'm pretty sure)

The way the FAQ reads on Club Nintendo, it sounds like you can use more than one free game download if you own more than one copy of Mario Kart 8. I have my own copy and was able to download my game, but my son also has a copy too and it won't let him download his game even if he logs in under his settings in our family account. We get an error saying that the Family Account Admin (me) needs to download the game. I tried, but was never give the option to do so when I logged in. Finally, I used the Need Help link and emailed them about this, as there was a specific entry in their FAQ about this that states to email them. I haven't heard back yet (this was on launch day).

Has anyone else had to go through this process? And if so, was anyone able to get it to work or did Nintendo reply in a timely manner to resolve this? If the download won't work, I'd like to sell it or let him give it to his friend.

I'm just looking for some suggestions on surround sound gaming headsets that are compatible with the PS4. I'm not looking to spend $150 on them or anything...so not "top of the line" options please ;-)

I just got mine a few hours ago, from amazon. I still haven't opened. I'm thinking I should have cancelled. There's tons and tons of negative reviews that systems are arriving faulty.

Got mine from Amazon....opened it up, plugged everything in.....and nada. Blue light never turned white. Nothing. Opened a game and put a disc in to see if that would wake it up. No luck. Spent over two hours waiting to talk to someone at Sony. Finally, I get an agent. They will repair the unit and I'll get it back in around 7-10 days he says. Frankly, why shouldn't I just get a new unit. I have a lemon. It doesn't work. Give me a new unit now and fix that lemon and sell it as a refurbished unit.

Amazon will give a full refund, even though it is opened. I just don't know how long I'll have to wait to find a PS4 in the wild.. Thoughts?

Mine was bricked right out of the box. I am one of the unfortunate Amazon pre-order customers. Sony tech support said nearly all of their calls have gone back to Amazon. Not sure what the issue is with the shipment they received, but they obviously have a MUCH higher failure rate than systems coming from other stores.

It was a total pain getting in touch with a human....online chat would boot you out after five minutes of waiting. Spent over two hours on the phone before getting to talk to someone. What really irks me is that they are going to have us send our units in and repair them. Look, if this was a month or 6 months into the system and it had worked previously, I'd be fine with getting them to fix it. But, I got a lemon. It didn't work from the get go. I don't want it fixed. I want another NEW PS4 shipped to me and frankly, they should overnight it. As you can tell, I'm a wee bit bitter over all of this. Instead, I get to wait a few weeks to get my refurbished unit even though I was never able to use the previous unit once. Grrr

I love the idea of The Show Live... But, I'm wondering....do you pick a team and play an entire season like this....or is it just more of an exhibition (one game at a time) format where you have to choose what team you want to play as every day?

If you are looking for a game that will last you a long while, I'd recommend Red Dead Redemption (as someone else has), Fallout 3, or the Mass Effect series. If you are looking for something a bit shorter, but still giving you a full experience, I'd recommend the Batman games or the Gears of War Trilogy. If you are looking for something outside of the action or RPG genres, I'd recommend Rayman Origins, The Walking Dead or Fez (Shadow Complex was great as well...downloadable title).

If you keep getting the error, I would contact Nintendo's customer support. They just need to replace the unit. As with any hardware launch, there will be lemons. You should be able to use the system in any way that the company states you can use it....so, if you have it arranged vertically and it doesn't work, I'd start the process of getting a new unit. The other thing to note is what games is it not reading? Do you have any games made by nintendo? I was able to play everything except Scribblenauts. I sent that game back and will try it again with a new disc. If that doesn't work, I think I'm going to try to get my console replaced too. No need to try each and every "work around"....I spent $350 on it.... it should work out of the box. Nintendo has a very good track record in regards to their customer service.
