Im pretty sure the game can be done on console with minimal changes. The game looks great but not mind blowing. tonyleo01

That's not the point. The main reason why the Blizzard's games won't go to consoles is because of Battle.net. And we all know how well good pc games do when ported to consoles and don't use the main online service the games were meant for.....cough cough TF2.

Good god 360 fans, stop begging for Blizzard titles. They won't happen, period. One reason, Battle.net, bot Diablo 3 and SC2 are built heavily around they're custom online service. And to all you ppl just spamming more money and more fans on consoles, keep telling yourself that. Blizzard's fanbase is the PC, period.

Also Blizzard will sell over a million on opening night for both titles guaranteed. They don't need help from the consoles and they know it.

well UK seems to be the smartest of the consumers this gen based off those numbers.

GTA #1...well duh

Wii fit....anyone that defends that over other games that have come out this year that aren't on the list need to be shot.

Mario kart Wii....by far the weakest Mario Kart game available also no point to play the game with the wireless controls setup making it so you are basically playing a Double Dash expansion.

Smash bros. Brawl.....fun game but lots of stuff just feel expansion like just like Mario Kart and once again a game that is pointless to play with the wireless controls setup.

Guitar hero 3...this getting kind of ridiculous, just set the game up online and have it be account based so you can buy constantly added songs and play then freely. It seriously doesn't need this many games for something so basic.

Overall incredibly disappointing, the same old series combined with casual s**t. Many other games deserve to be on this list and i'll leave it to you to decide which titles. The answer should be pretty obvious if you have half a mind.

It's Carmack

He was talking s**t about the 360 for having 3 cores where as pcs were still only using single core at the time. He's a major PC deveeloper that will downplay the console furthest away from a standard pc architecture. He's not saying the ps3 is a pos, hes saying that because of the cell, it's so damn different then what he usually works with that it delays the process of developing the game.

It's also common sense that the main platform a game is developed for is usually the best version and seeing that RAGE is being developed on PC primarily then 360 and ps3, the console versions will more then likely be quite a bit worse then the pc version while the 360 will be a bit better due to the development process being closer to that of the pc.

This is all common knowledge and nothing new, nobody should be surprised of this being said...especially from Carmack.

Seriously, imo, the reason for why the game is going to 360 at all is because they needed a good excuse as to why the hell they STILL haven't shown any gameplay footage and the fact that they once again f**ked up on the localization front meaning the game is already guaranteed to be deleayed another year after it releases on Japan.

3 years and they don't have 1 damn clip of gameplay....Square is becoming slow and sloppy, a very small shadow of their former selves. They know damn well FFXIII is a PS title, especially in Japan, hense forth why they aren't bothering with a 360 Japanese version. FFXII took way to damn long to release and now FFXIII is turning into a big deja vu.

Seriously after all the crap FFXII went through do you seriously believe Square would do the same thing again and say sry...it's out in Japan but we failed again in our planning so please wait another year while we add in different languages....

My guess is by the time FFXIII finally comes out in the states, it will be late 2010 or early 2011. By that time nobody will give a s**t and new consoles will already have been announced.

Next gen, it will be a damn miracle if they can even get 1 major FF game out. This trend they are on is more then rediculous.

To sum up, Square has become one of the slowest companies when it comes to releasing quality games and they needed to put it on another console to prevent themselves from looking like incompitent slackers aka making it look like theres a lot more work to due then just localization bs. FFXIV, if it happens, will be on the next generation of systems.

Square really needs to focus more on their main FF games instead of going lol lets work on more then 10 games at once. They use to be able to pump out multiple FF games on each platform now 3 years after the announcement with nothing to show.....it's just pitiful.

  • Non FF/DQ/KH Games = 13/49 = 25%

Thank you for proving my point. So many f**king ports, remakes, cell phone games, etc. etc. This porves the reason why it's taking so long is not in the production of the game itself, but the fact their company as a whole is spread out among WAY TO MANY different games. It will be a maricale if FFXIII will be out by the end of the decade.

With the announcement of the game going to be completed for PS3 first and then made on 360 as well as releasing the game in Japan first and then starting localization.....I could care less about this game now.

With all the crap they have to do before the game launches outside of Japan, it will be late 2010 or early 2011. New consoles will be coming out by that time or at least announced and at that point.

I thought production of FFXII was bad enough and that it took way too long to release but this is just as ridiculous.

I'm also seeing a trend here with FF game releases per console

PS1) FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX
PS2) FFX, FFXI, FFXII...FFXI not being a core FF game
PS3) FFXIII(as well as for 360), FFvsXIII

They keep going down in the number of FF games they release each gen. I mean seriously....will it take them 8 years to make and release the next FF gmae after these are done and over with?

All I can say is after being quite disappointed with FFXII and now having to wait this long to see if the next game will be any better is ridiculous. If FFXIII is not the best FF game to come out then Square can honestly go f**k themselves. If this game disappoints after all this then i'm done with Square.

I'm not entirely upset with the game going multi-plat....even though Square lied to the fanbase with all the 'Only for PS3' lines at the end of every trailer, but the amount of time Square is taking with these games and once again failing on the worldwide release and having to spend god knows how many more months on localization...they are becoming a laughing stock in my eyes.

Square, deliver on this game or stop making FF games after this.

Console fanboys wanting this game is funny as hell. Have you already forgotten the fact that wouldn't be set up to battle.net? Guess so. After all we've already gotten a first hand view of big hit pc games being ported to consoles and having s**t for an online component. LOL TF2 on consoles LOL.

Get real, the game will never appear on consoles. With Diablo 3, Starcraft 2, and Wotlk, Blizzard will make more money then most developers have made in their whole damn career.

You want the game's Blizzard creates, get a pc.

[QUOTE="dooly420"]because it's totally a rehash when you put a sequel out once every decade or so.NiTiZ

Oh, so re-releasing what seems like the same game every 10 years is OK?

Well when the fans demand it for years and years....I'd f**king say so. Blizzard does these games because the FANS DEMAND THEM!!! Whats the most logical thing to do at some point??? Oh I don't know....maybe...Oh!!! I KNOW!!!!!

PLEASE THE FANS OF THE SERIES!!!!!!!!!!
