[QUOTE="Androvinus"]"Ryu sticks with one weapon for the whole game" This game deserves a 0/10Wanderer5

I thought he at least gets a bow too? I remember seeing some gameplay that he was using a bow along with a sword.

Yea, if you count ranged weapons there is actually the shurikens as well as the bow. Two ranged and only one melee, the sword. In contrast to NG2 which had 8 melee weapons and 4 ranged.

But seriously, how do you go from 8 to 1 and expect people to be pleased? If this is a sequel it should have added more. This game should have had 10-12 melee and 6 ranged weapons just to meet expectations. NG3 is a joke.

[QUOTE="cainetao11"]Just read the review, now crying........PinnacleGamingP
standards are changing for games, my friend, and the 360 hardware limitation just isnt letting multiplats keep up with the times.

I disagree, that is hardly NG3's problem. This game could've been good if it worked on what made the previous games great and expanded on it, regardless of the hardware it was on. Sadly, not only do they not do that but they actually REMOVE entirely what made the previous games so great.

[QUOTE="alfredooo"]

I think it all depends on how much you liked the previous games. If you played lots of NG2, this game is such a huge step back its not even funny.

It removes so much content and instead adds lots of QTEs and scripted events and focuses more on story.

finalfantasy94

gameplay wise I cant judge 3 since I havent played it,but I will say a big step back is lack of weapons. It was fun trying a bunch of different weapons.

Its not just the weapons. They also removed all the ninpo spells except for one. (NG2 had 4) Also, they removed dismemberment which worked great in NG2. From what I heard, they also greatly reduced enemy variety and the number of bosses. There are pretty much no fiend enemies in this game, all because it "wouldn't fit into the story".

In this game it appears you pretty much fight the same enemies, with the same melee weapon and realease the same ninpo every time, all without much of a challenge. Its almost the complete opposite of past NG games.

Hayashi needs to stop making games. Maybe Itgaki's Valhalla Studios will be nice enough to let him keep remaking Itagaki's games. That way he can't screw up this much.

I knew it would suck, but not this bad.

Honestly, I though just by being a Ninja Gaiden game it had a better chance of scoring a 10 than what it got here.

Are any of you guys still getting this game?

I think a lot of RE fans (myself included) were expecting a new gameplay system for 6, one that brought back some of the things we loved from the old RE system. With that said, I wont waste my time hating on the game just based on that trailer, so far it looks like a step up from 5 in almost every way.

In a perfect world, Capcom would have remade REs 2&3 testing a new gameplay systems along the way. They would have retained the puzzle elements from the original versions but with added a completely overhauled shooting system. Then they would have used the new mechanics to make a godly RE6 that rivaled even RE4 and REmake in greatness.

Of course, I was never expecting that to happen because it is a well doccumented fact that Capcom hates all of the fans of their franchises.

The first minute with Leoon looked nice, after it was like Lost Planet with zombies=garbage.silversix_

this x100.

I was actually really exited for a second.

With that said, it does look like a significant improvement from 5 in some aspects; the city setting will probably work much better than an African town and its great to see actual zombies back.

Hopefully they will also leave behind that "ZOMG lets save the world!1!" crap that they decided to throw in at the end of 5. That was personally the biggest F U from capcom as an RE fan.
