So it is also a fact both Vanquish and Bayonetta pwned all other games in their respective genres this generation. That means Platinum owned everyone in the industry and deserve to called the best in the business.

Reviewers make mistakes. It takes time to comprehend the true greatness of a great game, so it isn't surprising some missed part of it with Bayonetta and Vanquish. But seriously, it's 2011 already, I'm sure the reviewers who have gone back to those two games have understood who is the best. Time to get with the times. If not what is better than Bayonetta?

it's proved by their history of over 15 years of making superb games, MGSR was canceled, games get cancelled all the time, Platinum picked it up, they too couldn't work around the initial concept or the Fox engine so they have decided to start from the ground up.

All the angry MGS fanboys need to go play some Bayonetta and Vanquish. THEY SHOULD BE THANKFUL PLATINUM IS WORKING ON THEIR FRANCHISE, IN FACT THEY SHOULD GET ON THEIR KNEES AND BEG FOR THEM TO ALSO WORK ON THE MAIN SERIES, MGS5.

Kojima simply wanted Rising to be a good game and being the smart guy he is he did the logical thing and got TEH BEST in the industry to do it for him.

Also, its great for Platinum to develop for a popular IP such as MGS, the game will probably sell better than their previous games, that will make them more money to invest in their next project. Whether its Bayonetta 2,Vanquish 2 or a new IP, their next project will have an even higher chance of melting our brains off from the epicness.

Actually, only a few MGS fanboys will dismiss this game, so there is no reason for it to be cancelled. Platinum games is a proven developer, the best in the business when comes to this type of game. So fanboys aside, most gamers will probably look forward to it. So why the hate? because it isn't similar enough to MGS4? Its a spin-off... the day they announce MGS5 featuring Snake hacking and slashing is when all the whining become justifiable.

As things stand today, Platinum games is the best developer in the industry when it comes to third person melee combat, Bayonetta earned them that place. So while I understand people are mad because of the change in direction, dismissing the game because of that change just isn't right. It might not be what fans where initially expecting but we are almost guaranteed to have a great action game with excellent combat here.

I saw no thread on this so here it goes. GS just uploaded a couple of gameplay clips.

It doesn't look as bad as I expected but wtf were they thinking when they decided to put 8 players on what seems to be a pretty small area? NG MP would work best with more focus on 1v1 battles, this thing just looks like everyone meets somewhere on the map and start mashing at each other.

With that said, it just might look that way for now because the people playing didn't seem to know what they were doing.

The one thing Im pretty convinced about is that the Steel on bone crap should be removed from MP altogether (actually remove it from the game altogether, especially the slow motion, its unecessary and it will just make the gameplay get old sooner than it otherwise would) the thing slows down time only for both players so it is not a very smart idea when your playing online on real time with 6 other people, it just looks bad.

Probably the best thing for all of us here is that it seems you don't actually need a gaming PC to play these two games.

Or perhaps that's a bad thing for some of you trying to justify the purchase of a PC for 3x the price of a console. (not saying anyone here is)

also i just wanted to add that, while I agree with TC, I still think PC gaming is wildly overrated on this site and that there is no denying that a huge percentage of PC gamers (be it on the 1st or 3rd world) are pirates. :) I just wanted to add that.
