With the server back up, the quest towards level 52 continues

Oh the humanity!

In the ongoing hunt for the colossus, (in Shadow of the Colossus, of course), I realized a few things.  First, colossi #8 is really evil, and I cant beat it.  Stay tuned for more, on our round the clock, colossi coverage.

Thats right, everyone's favorite warlock is now Level 51!  Rejoice good people!  Rejoice!   (okay enough rejoicing..)

well after trading in the gamecube version of Resident Evil 4 (which I got pretty far in, but the cube isnt really hooked up anymore and the ps2 is), so I got a used copy of RE4 for ps2.  I figured aside from a few graphical differences, it would be the same game, right?
Wrong!  Now I do use glasses and its probably just me, but the one for cube seemed a lot brighter and crisper, (though I admit I was playing that one on progressive scan and the ps2 one is just on high end component video), but it soured me to the point of not playing anymore.  Actually Im considering giving it to a friend for Christmas.  I mean it was way darker, even with the brightness turned up all the way.  I really thought it would look better.  Oh well.

After picking up God of War on eBay recently, I popped it in and after playing for a few, I could tell why people were into this game like rabbits into carrots.  The game has amazing graphics and music and no shortage of gore and nudity.  But was it the game for me?  I went on my merry way through the game, the lead protagonist, Kratos smashing everything within reach, including various cheap ancient Greek pottery, and impressing various gods and goddesses, with his thirst for destruction.  I'll be the first to admit, that seeing Ares stomp Athens into little piles of Greek dust is freakishly cool, but after playing for awhile, I decided it just wasnt the game for me.  Oh its a great game in its own right and all, but I always miss a good roleplaying game, especially when I'm not playing one at the moment.

Well after a 2 month hiatus (aka burnout), Ive recently returned to World of Warcraft and the cushy Moonrunner server that my level 60 mage, Dimity and my lvl 51 warlock, Jessine call home.  Moonrunner has changed however, and i dont just mean the Christmas season and the suspiciously santa-like Greatfather Winter. (So much for Mr Hanky, the Christmas Poo).  Moonrunner is now teeming with life, and whether its the hordes of ....horde...that have just gotten the game via fat man in red sleigh, or the fact that everyone has an alt or two, the server isnt what it was in its infancy.  Gone are the days of quiet and peaceful surroundings, replaced by people everywhere, and tons of level 60s.  It has me wishing for a new server, but not a new charrie (yet).

After a whopping 99 and a half hours, I have finally finished Dragon Quest 8.  No No, I didnt exactly do EVERYTHING in the silly game, but I ran through most of it.

either way, welcome to the first of what is I hope many regrettable and frankly, probably disturbing posts.  But why have I started a blog?  well....thats right, its a day after Christmas, and Ive had too much eggnog ...actually Ive had no nog at all. (take that, you nogheads).  In an effort to try and write something every day, (doing the junior maze on the back of the cereal box in pencil doesnt count), Im going to see if I cant get a decent blog going here, and who knows, you just might end up reading it one day! (not bloody likely!)
