That might be true, but at the same time it's the first formation we American's have had a chance to drive since 2002. Now to me that more then makes up for having to use a year old formation.
I guess so :) Maaan, you've been without new F1 games for almost 4 years now that's a torture for a F1 fan! :P
The F1PU will be organizing a whole new F1 championship; meaning that all previous seasons will be considered as testing/beta seasons.
The new F1PU Batracer Season 1 (name subject to change) will start whenever the new F1'07 game is available on BATracer. Hopefully it will be available with the start of the new F1 season.
Thanks to a generous offer from SMUboi (Ben), the season will be sponsered and the champion will receive a special prize presented by Ben plus a special tag/emblem presented by the F1PU. And to add more icing on the cake, the champion will be inducted to the newly designed Hall of Fame (will be done soon).
There will be a maximum of 3 seasons per year to maintain the prestige of the game and the champion.
There will be a 48 hours time gap between sessions. Drivers are encouarged to post reports/press conferences on a special thread that will be created on the board.
Only and only F1PU members will be allowed to play, so you have to be a GS memebr + F1PU member to be able to participate.
That's all for now, any idea for the new name of the championship? Jason has proposed a new name: Formula 1 Passion Season (insert #). You opinion, guys?

So if u would like something similiar to the F1PU tag for the champions then ill gladly make 1 :D Cool, but it would be better if it could have a different design so that we won't have similar looking tags. :)
Allow me to give my opinion in one of the above questions. :) Driving manual is much more difficult yet much more fun! Also it gives you more total control over the gears so you can do better laps with good setup and hard work. But it will take a lot of time to master it, depending on the player's skill. :)

I have proposed the idea to combine Aloushi's and MotoGP's idea.. use champcar as they allow team work and also non-bias competition to select cars and chassis... you can be a one man team, a two man team or even a three man team. I have also proposed to Aloushi that I will sponsor the prize gift to the eventual F1 winner.. a gamespot PLUS subscription for one year or a BATracer KT gift.. however, I want the prize to be quite exclusive so I suggested to him to slow the F1 game when we start it to a 48 hour turn around. The slow turn around timing allows the players to come back to this website and post player reports and opinions while the game master can post the race replay as well as report... this should generate good response from all the players, especially with the prize gift... Since Aloushi mentioned that we can a 36 day turn around... this means we expanded the time frame to become F1PU champion to make this prize gift to only two people per year... a very exclusive award.. Let me know what you guys think of this... I wait for your response! :)SMUboi
I like the sponsorship idea, if all what u ask for is recognition then I'm all in for it. :) May be we should make only 2-3 games per year like u suggested and increase the time gap to 48hrs. But I'm afraid that members (players) might loose interest due to long periods, what do u guys think?
