@alucardswrath: Not with it’s arial combat. That changes things up quite a bit. There’s stealth. It’s also not hack and slash. You need to commit to your attacks in these games. There’s no cancelling them and randomly bashing like in DMC. This game will do an open world correctly, using it as a playground hub to reach more linear areas, like Witcher and Arkham City did. It won’t be a collectathon like most games but it will be bursting with secrets.
We'll see i suppose. One thing I've learned is to never take a devs word seriously until you played the final version of the game, some of the features in the game being shown now might not even be in the final version. This is the point and time of the game's life when the devs/pubs will say anything so that people can rush off to buy it.
@bloodbornelore: It's literally just a souls game with a horse combat added onto it, there's really nothing new or groundbreaking here. As gorgeous as it is, it also feels like they're just running out of ideas and scraping off the bottom of the barrel here like they're afraid to try something else because they feel if it's not a souls game no one will be their game.
The souls style gameplay is getting a bit stale......they should take a brake from making too many souls like games before they kill their own genre with the repeated formula.
totally support Epic Games despite all the bad reps of these 2 reasons
1. Gives more money to developers compared to Steam, Digital stores and game platforms by almost double. That is already huge for Indie developers and studios using Unreal Engine.
2. Unlike Steam, Blizzard, Ubisoft, EA and gaming platform digital stores they actually give commissions to their influencers via affiliation fees. That is additional income to small and just getting started gamers who turns to gaming after being displaced from jobs in this pandemic era.
They are still new taking the competition to Steam who already have a complex platform with store, forums, achievements, payment/points system and more. Fighting another titan like Apple is healthy for the all consumers because the governing bodies of the world are now discovering the flaws of digital goods that are raking up billions. This affects all things digital not just games.
