im sure you all will hate me for this, not that i care, but dont you think its all a bit much? i mean, the flashy lights, the colourfull plastic, the brand name BOX? i mean realy, is this about ego here or doing something that you enjoy and need a simple machine to make it happen. my computer is in some standerd looking pc case, i dont care, it does what i need it do.

i would just like to comment saying that i think you all go a bit to far on your pc.

did you fail see that inetl i3 is only 3.2 ghz and ontop of 2 cores has 4 threads? 2 per core? no, didnt i think so. hands down, intel is better then amd. you dont think 15 years as a computer technition has any affect on justification? i would also like to know how much $ your so called amazing amd is, and how much warranty you gt on it.

Yea i had i generally look on the internet and though about it. im planing on this build to last me around 3-6 years, and i dont want to void my warranty on any of the parts, as they all have 3 years. once i run high end games and see how it goes then i can decide about overclocking.thanks for the info :P

ofcourse its about experiance. and i have enough to justifie my trust. I work at a small computer repairs shop currently gaining my cert 2 in IT. i know how many types of computers and computer hardware come through the door. the buisness runner has been working with computer for over 15 years. i think i would believe who she trusts, and thats intel. sure amd isnt crap, but intel is that small step better.

I just wanted to post this to ask generally and specifclly about overclocking. I have and intel core i3-550 (3.2 ghz, 2 cores, 4 threads) and a ASUS 5750 ati video card. i have programs to overclock the cpu up to 3.84 ghz, and my graphics card to 910 mhz engine and 4677 mhz memory ( normally 700 mhz engin and 4600 mhz memory) . can i overclock them both? i asked intel about the CPU and they said no i cant and it means i no longer have my 3 year warranty if i do, same with the graphics card.

Is overclocking the done thing? like, as soon as you get your pc does everyone just overclock? or is it some ppl do, some dont the majorty does...

Im just tottaly not sure of overclocking so if someone could give me the buzz?

Oh and my cpu temp is 27 and graphics card 45 at idle (like, internet, msn)

im sure i could have, but intel is by far better. i would have preferd a Nvidia card, but for what i wanted it was to expensive. ATI (and AMD) is good for medium. meduim high and meduim lower goods, its cheaper, maybe powerfull but quality is what im looking at. Intel is the way, for quality and for power. and anyway, the price i paid is easy in my price range. id originally was going for a core 2 duo, but i decided on the i3 because they are more recent.
