Hey guys!! Im almost 15 and iv built my first true gameing computer. it cost me about 530 all up, (160 for the video card). Of course i was on a buget so i wanted to keep the price down, but i think i managed ok. i have'nt realy ran any high end games yet, as im working on the cash problem :P so far iv ran CoD 2, Oblivion, DoW with all expansions and a few more lower end fps and strategy games. Any way ill get on with it, here are my specs:

Gigabyte H55M-S2V main bored (3 year pc authority award winner) >($100.10)

iNTEL Core I3-550 (3.2 ghz, 2 cores 4 threads) >($146.30)

ASUS EAH5750 formula video card (from generic ATI radeon HD 5750) >> main issue is it keeps it 13% cooler, im in a hot climate >($161)

> 4 gb ddr3 ram >($20)

the computer (yes its in a sad box :P i dont care about looks)the goods :P

:P i hope the links work>>ima bit dubious

yea id love to get dune 1 and 2 but i dont were to get them, it definitely wont be on sale anymore. thats the problem with getting old classics, you cant buy them new, you have to try find em 2nd hand. but with realy old games even that is nearly impossible. Thanks for the games :)

ok thanks people, ill pick up i decent video card, i can get em where-house price so its all good :) What are the main things you need look out for in a video card apart from its RAM size? I cant get dual video cards, but i was looking at something with about 1 GB. and yea, oblivion's being a bi*ch corrupted saves and sh*t Unstable game.

ok people calm down lol. You are missing the point, oblivion came out in 2006, its minimum required graphics is 256, recomended 512. I can easely get a graphics card, but a gig intergrated should definetly be enough for a game 4 years old. Yes it is a desktop. The interesting thing is that it shows 1 gig graphics, and 1.8 gig ram, with 2 gig of ram installed. I founf this interesting as i thought that if a gig was takin from the ram for the video, i would have 1 gig ram. I find it very unlikly that space from the paging file was used, as a hardrive cannot be used for graphics. Anyone know why this might be happpending? Seriously, this game is 4 years old. This CPU and boared is not. Anyway, i payed $350 for the whole thing, so buying a vid card isnt a prob, i wanted to see how the integrated would cope, but lag from oblivion was unexpected because its so old.

Hey people out there, i am a conservative gamer, and i want to buy all the old classics. If you could give me a list of sorts, that would be great. Iv got morrowind and oblivion, my favourite games by far. DoW 1 and 2, very, very good. starcraft 1, epic as, and im going to get the second A.S.A.P as it looks great. As you can see, not much, but i want to collect the classics

Intel core i3 3.2 Ghz 2 core 4 threads, 2 GB ddr3 RAM, 1 GB integrated video. Thats my computer specs, yet oblivion runs very lagy on maxed settings and HDR lighting wont work, and often i get error messages and oblivion closes. Im not a newbie idiot that doesnt understand computers, i know computers well, i built this one so i should I have both expansion pacs. i have re-installed the game twice. I will download the latest patches for it, as well as defraging my hard drive and run an error check, but i dont think that it will solve the problem. I definetly have no viruses and i have updated norton 2011. I understand i need more RAM for other games, but this should not affect oblivion.
