@GazaAli: I had never been interested in basketball and I didn't even know the ABC of it. I don't even know why I gave KnB a try (maybe I guess it was through an amv) but it was totally worth it. KnB seems less focused on Bball and more focused on teamplay and other perks of being with your 'nakama' and blablabla. So, it is basically a flashy slice of life.

I only watch cheesy anime when I'm depressed or just feel stale. My favorite one in this regard is Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo.

For some reason, I still remember every little thing about the ending even though I played this game about 7 years ago. That was the first time I ever teared up in front of the screen.

@GazaAli: Admittedly, KnB is the first anime of this genre I've watched. I'm not sure as to what are your reasons to put it off but I remember mine on the lines of being, 'meh too flashy'. It was all a matter of tuning into the first episode. 10 minutes in and I was already feeling the suspense. It's one of those anime that grab you by your collar and force you to watch it all the way through. The suspense starts rising from the first episode and apexes in the second season and after that, it's a constant plateau. You should just 'force' yourself to watch the first episode, you'll watch the rest automatically.

On another note, I finished watching ''The Tale of Princess Kaguya'' just now. I wanted something uplifting and cheesy and Kaguya-hime looked like it would be right up my alley (bright coloring and happy looking wallpapers, y'know) but God damn it, next time I'm not gonna watch anything without reading the reviews. It was just happy for the first 15-20 minutes and after that it was a constant glide to sorrow and suffering. I felt so sorry for Kaguya....

I loved the soundtrack though. My favorite track (It's such a festive song yet it makes me so sad in context of this movie):
