yeah i agree i dont know how good the single player will be on unreal if the past is any notion then i wouldent bet on it, i mean i prefer unreal online over halos but halos single player was always known to be epic

I watched the UT3 Stage Demo and the developer said that they are trying hard to make UT3 have a really good single player, something that they previously lacked. I guess that's good news for UT3.

UT 3 on the PS3 vs. Halo 3s beast of a multiplayer? It would have been a more fair battle on the PC, but not on the PS3. I don't see any possibility that UT's multiplayer could be better then Halo 3s, even the PC version.

Speaking of the PS3 version, don't the mods have to come from a PC first and then be imported onto the PS3? If thats the case does that mean mods will only start showing on the PS3 when the PC version is released? Thats a serious question, and i would appreciate a serious answer.

PC & PS3 versions are released same time, but ANYWAYS...I'm not interested in getting a PS3 until next year when it gets better titles, MGS and Killzone 2 are coming sometime in 2008.

I've played Counter-Strike competively a lot before so I'm kind of used to having fast reflexes for those kind of games/Quake3,etc.

It's just that Halo is so much of a "system seller" it seems that I don't know if I'd be missing quite a bit not getting it. Exactly how fun is the Halo multiplayer though? Because if it's tactical, then there are better tactical games such as Call of Duty 4 coming out (for PC with mouse/keyboard). Competitive fps games are usually always better on PC.

Also...I never really thought about getting a Xbox 360 and PS3 (meaning I'd get a PS3 next year before a PC, no point getting it before 2008)

I just have a little fear that I'd get really bored from Halo 3 multiplayer, but again, I've never played Halo online. For UT3, I've played fast reflex Quake-style games.

Well, I'm getting a good Xbox 360 setup OR a top-notch PC that can play 1600x1200 res max settings (8800GTX,etc)

I'm trying to decide what to get, and it comes down to these 2 games. UT 3 would win hands down graphics but I'm talking about multiplayer so yah what you guys think?

It's coming down to getting an Xbox 360 setup or top of line PC for me (both being same price at end) and well, for the PC the main multiplayer game I'd play would be UT 3, and for Xbox 360 Halo 3.

For multiplayer, which game do you think will be better?

Both are nice, but I use my 360 more for gaming, but my PC more overall. I suggest PC for computer stuff and 360 for gaming, just get a nice 720p tv and you'll be fine, its amazing, don't need to spend hundreds extra for 1080 unless you want to keep tv for long time and use other than gamingshadow8585

Yah I'd use TV for watching tv/movies hah, but well I think Halo 3 vs Unreal Tournament deserves its own topic. And then getting GTA IV early sacrifices games like STALKER, Crysis,etc.

Don't even bother with the 8800 bullcrap. You can play most games with a mainstream graphics card just fine and expensive top-end set-ups are for uber-geeks . . .

Halo 3 vs Unreal Tournament 3, who wins for multiplayer? (and people that have played either, can you tell me how good the multiplayer was to you, and maybe have a comparison? ) cause I'm sure it comes down to those 2 games.

Well PS3 has only one AAA title, Ninja Gaiden (and I'm not interested in that game).

Xbox 360 has Forza 2 and Gears of War (which just got announced for PC, but still isnt on PS3)

We'll see though, near end of this year.
