Not the point, if privacy matters to you so much, then you should be prepared to get rid of all the things we know the gov has used to look into our activities with.

I can't see your point as credible unless you go off the grid.

What your saying is you can live with spying on some devices, but not with this.

I'm not happy about our gov, I'm as conservative as they come. But I'm not going allow a potential thing as kinect spying to keep me from enjoying the X1. But I'm too concerned about it because I don't believe the NSA will be able to use it anyway seeing that you can turn it off if you want.

You and others not purchasing an x1 for this reason will not change what our gov is doing. All you're doing is hurting yourself.

Get active in politics and tell people why what the gov is doing is wrong. that's how you change things. boycotting a product will not change a thing.

It's not about paranoia, it's about consistency.

If you are so concerned about being watched, what else are you doing to protect your privacy?

Doesn't look like you threw out your computer.

I'll bet you two haven't reverted to a cell phone that isn't connected or has a camera.

To me, harping on the kinect while owning devices that can be used to spy on you is nothing but hypocritical. You either go all in or not. You don't get to pick and choose.

Change the gov, not the console you buy.

But please, keep going with the spy angle and pile on.

haha, ok, whatever you say chief.

By that logic, I could proclaim Sony intended on doing DRM, but didn't because they changed their minds after seeing the storm MS went through. Yeah, we know Sony says this isn't true, but I say they are lying.

This logic you use can work both ways.

read the comments, many think they are not only experts in programming, but they are also qualified CEO's.

The RAM part is the biggest part of the story. The quote was aimed at making MS out to be lying about indie publishing, which is not the case, unless Spencer is lying. I don't care what some developer has to say about working with MS, I'm sure you could find some that would say the same about sony.

They said Indies could self publish, then some clowns try saying they have limited access to the system's resources. the same old "MS is screwing you and indies" line that I've seen parroted by people like you the last few weeks.

So yeah, I'll keep calling you guys drones because you want MS to fail so badly, you'll believe anything negative that's said about it. As soon as you see something bad, it's off to the net you go to post it in some MS related article.

I find it rather humorous that you're telling me that I can't comprehend the written word. If you understood my reply, you would've known that I said it's hard to forecast what's going to be said in some of these cases. The PR dept dropped the ball big time, but you can't be prepared to counter everything. A lot of what happened is their fault, but not 100% of it. It's hard to message when you're dealing with leaks, misinformation, biased reporting, and a lazy gamer community.

Look around sites like this one, how many times did you see the statement said that the old policy wouldn't let you buy used, sell, or trade your games? How many people were running with the notion you couldn't lend your game to a friend? It was in print what you could and couldn't do, yet the uneducated gamer didn't care to read for themselves what was going on and took the work of posters like the one who I initially replied to as gospel.

Believe what you want to believe, but be prepared to be called on your assertions.

As I stated, I don't care if someone wants a PS4, but when people are trying to make it look better by stating rumor and opinion as fact, then I will care. The reason I'm a bit passionate about this is it was because of this kind of behavior we are stuck in 2005 for this next gen.

What's sad is drones like you hear something and automatically default to "It's true, MS sucks!" before thinking and evaluating what you're reading.

MS' PR hasn't been great, but not even the best PR dept could foresee the kind of lies that have been said. Kind of hard to message when you're dealing with this kind of stuff.

frustrating as hell. It's not their console preference that I care about, it's the lies they spew to make their preference look good.
