only game I really cared about achievements was in Arkham City. Still playing the game and don't want it to end, so I'm taking my time trying to get all the riddler trophies and other bs.
If a game is fun, and the achievements are hard, but not frustrating, they can add to the overall game. But AC is the only game I've seen it done correctly so far.
In a perfect world, the main game would be hard to beat and take more than 10 hours to complete. Sadly that ship has sailed a long time ago, not completely, but not nearly how it used to be.
You really think game will always be disc based don't you? You have to know that if we go digital, there will be DRM, it's the only way a digital system can work profitably.
You drones cannot see the forest through the trees.
PC has steam, and MS tested the waters this time. Sony opted not to do it.
Do you honestly think in ten years or how ever long this generation lasts, these companies won't go digital? Are you so ignorant to think discs won't be replaced?
If sony wants to do this to movies, why would they not want it for gaming as well?
Either you admit MS isn't some evil, greedy corporation for reversing the policy, or you admit sony is evil and greedy for even thinking about DRM. You can't have it both ways.
