EA Conference thoughts.

I really, really liked the Spore trailer with the little blue monsters.

Mirror's Edge and Dead Space looked brilliant.

SimAnimlas and Sims 3 look interesting.

Nintendo in an hour and a half....

MS Conference thoughts.

The whole Live stuff was pretty cool, but then......

Final Fantasy XIII on Xbox 360.... I was screaming with joy, and I still haven't stopped shaking. Now I pretty much have no system seller for the PS3. Oh well.

Wow, can't wait to see Sony and Nintendo tomorrow.

OK, so Brawl is amazing.

I've never been a huge fan of the Smash Bros. series. I liked them, yea, but I have always resented the fact that they are labelled fighting games when they really aren't. What fighting games have a huge reliance on platforming? Hm. They are platform beat-em-ups.

Anyway, my friend brought over Brawl and I was stunned. It was so much fun that I really need to buy it ASAP, which will probs be mid August. Can't wait!

The Ultimate History.

I received "The Ultimate History of Video Games" in the post today, and its pretty epic. 624 pages of history. I tried reading the pre-VCS stuff, but I found it too boring, and that's an era I'm not interested in. One problem is that the book was published just as the Xbox and GC were launching in the States, so its quite old, and doesn't include important recent gaming events, such as sale of Rareware, the Phantom and various other bits of videogame history from earlier this decade.

It is pretty comprehensive about the 1983 crash, the Jaguar, 3DO and the demise of Sega, so that will be fun to read. All in all, for £10, its worth it.

Yup, surpassed the 20,000 profile views. Pretty happy about that, seeing as the last count added 144 views!

I would like to thank every lolcat, unicorn and Gamespot user for helping me get to this point! Much love!

For like the 10th time, I feel really old

So, I was at a bday party for one of my Dad's friends, and I had to entertain an 8 year old, and he wanted to me to tale about games. M'kay, then. Seeing as he was born in '99, he had never heard of the Dreamcast or Pokemon Red Version. The closest contact to Sega he had was Mario and Sonic at the Olympics.... so obviously a disturbed childhood.
