Nintendo dropping the price of the 3DS should have been a red flag to Sony that the pricing for the Vita may be too much for consumers as well.
The worst part was when it sold poorly in Japan a few months ago, Sony brushed it off merely claiming that it'll sell better in the western regions. Well, it's selling well here either, so what now Sony? The balls in your court, only YOU can save your handheld.
A shame, I really wanted a Vita, but there's still very little to justify throwing $250+ at it. It's pretty much the Dreamcast disaster all over again when I think about it; Sony's making the same mistakes with the PSV as Sega did with the Dreamcast. For their sakes, they'd better hope they don't end up reaping the same consequences as well.
This is pretty distrubing news. I tend to game for long sessions, but never for more than 12 hours. Even during my 'marathons', I take meal and potty breaks.
There's no chance in hell of this getting passed, it simply infringes on many other rights of the consumers, is effectively chopping off a limb as a means of removing a splinter, extremely vague, and ultimately, will cause lots of bad PR with many of the companies that support the bill. I myself intend to email Nintendo, Sony, and any other company that supports this dumb bill that I will no longer favor them or even purchase anything else from them for as long as they support that bill. And even if by some unholy prank that it does get passed, chances are that someone will revoke it as unconstitutional.
