i have 4770k and gigabyte gtx 980 ti extreme gaming and believe me its even better that 1080 refrence when i overclock its memory on 8 ghz so its not 7 ghz and i set its clock up to 1340 ( i know someones can do more than this even) it goes to 1400 with gpu boost, i set the voltage up a little and power on 130% ( i swear to you it is sometimes! even better benchmark than a refrence 1080p .
i have 16gb ddr3 ram , corsair vengeance , and i can play most games on 4k on 40 to 60 fps, with this stable OC i did, about 20 to even 50 percent than benchmarks , all i want to say some websites lie about benchmarks, 1080 isn't that better than 980 ti.
GTX 980ti my ..OC ed version: 384-bit, 2816 CUDA Cores,384 GB/s, 8 billions transistors 96 ROP , 28 sm 8 Ghz not 7 refrence ghz(cause i set its memory on 8200 , and its really easy and stable.
1080 refrence version: is 256-bit, 2560 CUDA Cores, 320 GB/s, 5 billions transistors, 48 ROP. 16 sm 10 ghz .
So... in everything GTX 980 Ti is better and i think the best and badass graphic card is GTX 980 ti . but not refrence version but something like gigabyte extreme gaming one or ...
i agree maybe later i change my GTX 980 ti with a Graphic card Like 1080Ti or something like that but for now 980ti is the best. i wish i had time to make a video on the division 4k on ultra settings all things on high and show you its fps above or equal to 1080, its about 70 sometimes, and about 40 sometimes, ( 15 % better than 1080 refrense yes believe me) but the average is around 60, honestly .
Dont fool of the benchmarks on youtube or any web sites benchs, gamespot bech was about to fair they have a bench 1080 vs 980 ti, i think i saw it months earlier, GS is fair about that, at least.
980 ti is 384 bit,,, more texture units , ROP , more CUDA Core and more.... i overclock my 980 ti's memory clock to 8GHZ not 7.0 / Core clock to 1310 with boost around 1400 and a little voltage ,, and it work easily and stable, I'm not pro but a oc pro can get even more memory clock easily so 980 ti , ofcorce my graphic card oc ed a little by default its gigabye extreme gaming ,,, and i even do more OC on it and its works fine ,, thank god for this ;) its a monster Graphic card and i think its enough for years,
i dont change it with gtx 1080p i maybe change it with GTX 1080 ti or something like that in 2017, but 1080 is good to for the ones who wants buy new card not someone already has a Moster Graphic card like 980 ti. and sell it for 1080 its a big mistake.

exactly man, i will not change my gigabyte GTX 980 Ti Extreme Gaming with 1080p, until something like 1080ti arrive. i can get even 90 percent (or more) of 1080 performance with OC
Nice Job GTX 980 Ti OC wow . i dont change it (my GTX GYGABYTE 980 ti EXTREME GAMING) until 1080p ti or somthing like that , i know maybe u dont believe me but i had even better performance on my gtx 980 ofcorce with OC ing. thanks god for it
Man it was cool , it remind me good old times, good old Game spot and good Game Spot score system, unfortunately now changed ;( , good real next gen games , graphicly.. but now gamespot gives 10 to any game pays more ... and games dont do good in graphic they are not next gen like before , fu...k online, fu,,, 60 FPS obsession... and fu..k 4k and fu..k VR , UNCHARTED 4 is the only good next gen that feels good like before, i will go to ny for the division in winter ;)
