@clanpsi: Even before they said that, (right after they removed the MT's), there were tons of people patting themselves on the back in these forums, claiming some kind of victory over the big evil corporation.

I was hoping that people would have enough sense to realize that nothing had changed, but I guess that was too much to hope for.

@infiniin: It's not based off of any specific books. They're just apparently plugging different movies into this "universe". 10 Cloverfield Lane could literally have been a movie that was not connected to the Cloverfield universe at all, (and it probably was at some point).

Seems like as long as some aliens get thrown in somewhere, then it could technically carry the Cloverfield name.
