@jyml8582: I see it as more of a budget issue. Rick is plenty badass in the comics with the missing arm, it wouldn't screw up the story.

They would probably have to do too much green screen or something for him to not have an arm any more.

I think with Herschel losing his leg, it cost less because they hid it using practical effects.

@jessie82: The zombies are more background noise at at this point. The survivors have gotten so good at dealing with the undead, it's all about fighting other groups now.

I expected Glenn since that is who Negan did in the comics. What I didn't expect was how much they were able to show, that shit was just brutal.

Thought for sure Rick was finally going to lose his arm. They definitely toyed with the folks who have read the comics.
