Am considering a few WWII aviation games (PS3) Can these types of games be enjoyably played with a regular controller or is the added expense of a joystick required??
Not sure how easy it will be to fly the aircraft with toggles, buttons, etc...
been looking at the PDF manuals for both and I am not sure if it will work. The theater system has jacks for the TV, but I only see a port
for an optical digital cable. Cannot tell from the Wii if there is a similar jack on it.
Has anyone had success in hooking the Wii up to a theater system? Playing off the tv's 2 speakers is getting a bit old, but do not want to buy a system
and find out later that no game platforms can be added on.
Might be making the dive into a home theater set up for the TV. Anyone know if these systems have inputs for video games so the sound will come through all 5 speakers?
I know zilch about electronics so pleasebe gentle and use small words.... :-)
I bought a PS2 awhile back and bought an extra controller, but later found that there were not too many games for two players. How does it look for the PS3 ? I'd like to have the family use it instead of just the son blowing stuff up on his own.. thx - Craig
thanks - that did help a bit. still seems to be a crap shoot when it comes to electronics. have had a Wii for 2 years, the cats have knocked it off once or twice and it still runs fine, so go figure.
There'll be a price drop 3 days after you go out and pay full price.

yeah, I got birthdays near the end of the year and have to do the guessing game - buy now or take a chance and wait for the usual holiday price drops, but then take a chance on it being out of stock.
seems there is a long thread about drive failures. would appreciate clarification of the terms they are using. they mention the blue ray drive failing. Is there a separate drive for movies and games? Or is it just one tray for both. I have no intention to play movies on it. Does that make a difference? The common comment is that the PS3 will fail roughly after a year or so.
