It bothers me that when I got the request to submit a hardware survey I was on my moms LAPTOP but didnt get it when I opened steam on my actual desktop gaming rig :-P
So now steam thinks I use a mobile i7-4510u processor, instead of my 980 G1 and my fx-8350 oc'd to 4.7ghz :-(
@BDA_Kiwi: All that proved is you can read, and every country has a list longer than your dick of high achievers. That does NOT mean you are one of them by default lol....
So I would like you, in your infinite wisdom, to fully explain, how one, in an uncontrolled environment full of all sorts of different surfaces and environment variables capable of both creating static and insulating you from discharging it, would be able to 100% protect the equipment from a static discharge. Factoring in maybe needing to move the equipment from one room to another. One room may have carpet, the next may have stone flooring and wooden tabletops.
Explain how one removes all electrical potential (both actual current, and static) in environments such as that. How to mitigate all risk?
its interesting that in all your posts on this subject between you, me, and that other guy, you never explain that.... You couldve provided an everyday example at any point..... Would've shut us both down. Now all I believe is you have access to wikipedia.
@BDA_Kiwi: The other guy already said what needs to be said. If two people are telling you you're wrong. You're not going to convince them you're right.
PS - If you WERE good at what you do, you wouldnt be getting your grounding facts wrong. At least, you wouldn't be being a schmuck over your incorrect perception of the meaning of "grounded" vs those that arent in the field.....
I dont need to help you out here. The other guy said it all for me. Peace out buds. Here's hoping you find a life to fill your time with.
PPS - You live in New Zealand! Not the biggest need for engineers over there dude. NZ isn't exactly a captain of industry... You be Lying!!!!
@BDA_Kiwi: It wasn't a sweeping statement in any form, you arrogant schmuck. I already said you were half right. But since you're gonna be a dick about it. Im going to tell you that time in a field, is no guarantee of knowledge. How many handymen do you know that can't fix a pocket door correctly? How many doctors kill patients through accidents during surgery? How many IT guys do you know that muck up simple things?
@BDA_Kiwi: No, as an aspiring electrical engineer, amongst other things. I can say that you are half right, but half wrong. Eryxx was on point, you on the other hand, are spouting lies and misinformation masquerading as truth. Did you learn how to do that in Trump University? :-P
@thor2390: What a strange complaint..... No Elder Scrolls game has been co-op (besides ESO)... Don't like single player games fine, but don't complain that an inherently single-player game doesn't offer co-op. And guess what? If you already own the original game and the DLC *(which, after nearly 5 years, almost everyone should due to steam sales)* The Special Edition is Free! So what's your next complaint? I guess you're just someone who's never happy no matter what, how sad for you. :-P
@bfeinberg: Again, enjoy your glass house. I can speak eloquently when I choose to, you however, don't deserve it. Now let's see the child in you come out again for the last word ;-)
@bfeinberg: Oh I'm rude? You must have a lovely view from your glass house! After reading your other comments, I don't care how calm you remain while typing, you're still a douche.
