@00J I think you missed the point of the article, they were pointing out how much energy is wasted just to keep our consoles in an 'Active-Standby' mode.

It had nothing to do with dollars and cents.

It was about the waste, cause we do have limited resources on this planet, it sure would suck a few years from now to have to devote what was it? 4 large power plants just to keep those devices in standby? Thats just stupidly wasteful, surely Sony or Microsoft can make more efficient standby modes.
