@xtraflossy I agree. Back in 1990s many of popular games were not difficult. It is a myth that everyone say that classic games were difficult. Some classic games were difficult, but their difficulty most of the time depended on lack of save and password system. Difficult games like dark souls were also few in classic era (games like Alien 3 or Alien Soldier for example).
When you want to jump to next gen you should have "qualitative" reasons not "quantitative" ones. When Nintendo and Sega switched from 8-bit to 16-bit even the dumbest parent could realize the difference. Or when they switched to 3D consoles in 1995 something really new came to scene and new Ideas could be implemented. But last jump from PS2 to PS3 was purely a matter of quantity (i.e more polygons). Right now jump from PS3 to PS4 is the same. More polygons is good, but it will not change your experience radically. Those who old enough can remember that how exciting back in 1996 PS1 and game like RE and Tomb Raider was for us. A new generation console must offer new experiences and not simply more polygons.
I gave up playing it after finishing at normal. No skill customize, all is about the loot but also there is an auction house that kill incentive for loot. Just spend your money and buy the best item, but that item is not really yours! Fun is a strange word for this game!
I rather see next GOW on next Xbox. This game feels repeatative and feels too familiar graphically and gameplaywise. More quick money and lack of exclusive in 2013 for selling more 360s is the main reason to make this.
Thanks for the article. I had the same feeling about ME3 endind and D3 flashlight change. Only lame ass COD fans like the mounted flashlight thing. At least if they want to implement mounted flashlight scheme they should make it battery based or limited in use somehow.
@Kevin-V You are the best reviewer here! I expected you review D3! Because i think in GS review of D3 technical problems did not address properly! 8.5 is a bit too high. I remember D2 got 8.5 also. Sites like GS must help customers to fight DRM.
Honestly D3 is a good game. But technical problems kill it for me. Actually i blame technical problems because D3 is a good game and being not able to play it smoothly is a pain in the ass. Comparing it to D2 is a mistake. Because every Dungeon Crawler is inferior to D2. So It is the pre-determined comparision. D3 is a good game and after D2 is the best DC RPG i ever played. My only problem is that bad policy decisions (RMAH and DRM) degrade the quality of experience.
