These are just some stats and other things about the list. You may not want to read it all, i just felt i had to post it

Well, now that the list is over, there are just a few things I would like to post. Some stats and interesting stuff about it that I will put here…

First, if you want to see the complete list and how it ended, I posted it HERE so you can see it without pics or links, just the 100 games listed

Now, to the stats here is a list of how many games per console appeared in the whole list:

GC = 18
WII = 18
N64 = 17
SNES = 14
NDS = 11
NES = 9
GBA = 7
GB = 3
GBC = 3

The newest consoles dominated. No surprise though since they are basically better in graphics, sound and gameplay.

And the series that got the most games:

Mario – 23
Zelda – 9
Pokemon – 8
Metroid – 5
Donkey Kong – 3
Animal Crossing – 3
Super Smash Bros. – 3
Sonic – 3

Mr. Nintendo got #1 Zelda and Pokemon really close to each other ended in 2-3 and Metroid reached the 4th place

SOME FACTS:

-The average score of all the games is 8.9/10
-The average score of the top 10 is 9.6/10
-The word "Super" and the word "Mario" appear in more than half of the top 20
-More than 70% of the list are first party games
-No Mario Party games made it to the list, even though one was #101
-No Kirby games made it to the list
-Mega Man 2 was the only Mega Man game in the list
-Resident Evil 4 was the best placed M rated game in #14
-All the Super Smash Bros. games were in top 30
-No Virtual Boy games made it to the list

The good and the bad about the list :

THE GOOD:

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time showed it is still one of the best games of all time even after more than 10 years and it scored the 1st place in the list. A great achievement for the series too.

The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and Metroid Prime both got places in the top 10, and along with other games in the list, they proved that the GameCube was one of the best consoles in history, even though it's been said it's not good.

Pokemon games appeared in a large amount in this list, which is very good to the series and means many people like it, no doubt it's another strong Nintendo series and one that might never die.

THE BAD:

Some cIassics, such as Kid Icarus and EarthBound could have probably been higher. But they weren't played by much people of the union, so a place in the lower positions was fair for them, although they could have easily made a higher place.

Even when this list was very good in my opinion, it missed games that were great. Perhaps some other old titles could have made it instead of newer games in the 100-51 part.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, that has been considered the best or one of the best Zelda games ever, only made it to place 62. This may have also been a sad thing for many fans as the game was expected to be a lot higher.

THE SURPRISE:

Sonic Unleashed and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, were never expected to even be on the list and surprisingly hit the top 50 ahead of cIassics like Banjo-Tooie. Maybe the biggest surprise of the whole list…

THE DISAPPOINTMENT:

The top 100 had no Kirby games at all. Being it a very fun and attractive game series, it was a true disappointment to see it out of the list, as well, other major franchises like F-Zero only had 1 or 2 games.

I would like to thank everyone that made this a great success, the list had more than 1,000 views in total (counting the union and my blog) and it was seen by more than 300 different people from over 30 different countries

That's it, the list ends with 2 more superb games: Super Smash Bros. Brawl got one of the best fighting series in the world to its best adding a big roster of 35 characters, more stages trophies and game modes, the ability to create and share stages and even online play. Some things never seen before in Nintendo were brought by this game, which also has an awesome soundtrack and very good graphics. Brawl is for many the best Wii game and got a really high place in this list! While the first place, TLOZ: Ocarina of Time became the best Nintendo game back in 1998 and even with time, it keeps getting high in these lists. OoT featured impressive gameplay, sound and graphics (for its time) and it's considered the best Zelda game by lots of fans, it was awarded Game of the Year and more... this game is a masterpiece that will never die.

Well, 2 games that may be overrated but still great titles that deserved a high place in the list, all of these games are really fun to play and never get old. And there's still alot more to come from nintendo.... Remember that you can comment and discuss about it here or in the union board, and there will be still 1 more blog with some stats and interesting stuff.

There are 2 more games! looks like Mario put 2 of his masterpieces in the top 5, Super Mario World was a perfect game for some people and still brings great memories, with its simple but excellent gameplay and the addition of Yoshi, plus a lot more features made this game worth being high in this list. Super Mario Galaxy was another awesome game, showing the Wii's potential and keeping all the fun of a Mario game. Great graphics, sound and gameplay too, almost nothing went wrong with this game and it became one of the best Wii games and GameSpot GotY of 2007.

No doubt these games deserved the top 5 places, and could have even been on a higher position... But who will get the #1 spot? Only 2 games are left and they'll be revealed soon. I can't promise an update tomorrow, i might make the last wait a little longer but it will be during the weekend so come back to check the highest places, and comment about it if you want.

There they are, a Mario game and a Zelda game. Super Mario Bros. 3 was a total masterpiece, for many a perfect game and the best platformer of all time, even when it was for the NES, it brings several memories of a really fun game. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is a more recent title, also an excellent game, one of the best in the Zelda series and the first one on the Wii, giving it alot of potential making it one of the best Nintendo games of all time.

As well as 2 Metroid games, Resident Evil 4 and more. All of them true masterpieces.

Looks like the word "Unleashed" guided Wii games to the glory As you can see Sonic Unleashed and Star Wars TFU have achieved great positions in this list. This update is the first one to only have home console games, being GC the most notable with 4. Also the first one to have no Mario games.
