So you pretty much have to be online, just so that you can't pirate the game? Lucky for me I'm getting high-speed soon. Will it be enough to have 5 Mbps/500kbps + 30 GB? I want to play 5 hours a day almost every day if the game is as good as it sounds. What about the multiplayer?
Oh yes. I know this problem. The developers don't realise that not everyone has enough Internet to play online. It's so stupid. You PAY for this game and can only play online. For example, I have just a couple of GBs to use because I live in a students dorm and they don't let you download as much as you want. :/PanickBuzz
What do you do during the game that requires internet access? They pretty much just need you to be online to access their multiplayer unique items stores, but then you can't go offline or you would be cheating. I don't see why you can't just play offline just like any other rpgs, because the games seems just like Demon's Souls in pictures. Is there anything more that they need you online in order for the game to run proper. you could just be playing and have it set for that player to be locked out of the online. that doesn't really have much to do with hacking.

Why is that? Is there something integral to the game that requires you to be online? There's the part of the game where you can sell your rare items to other people, but why can't you just keep them? that sucks you can't even play story mode offline. Is that because you have to pay a monthly fee to keep playing it or is it to do with other players invading your personal game?
What does it mean to be a new ip? I would get Dishonored out of those two. I might get XCOM Enemey Unknown too. Is that the same type of game as RE 6 and Dishonored?

No, XCom is a turn-based Strategy game, and the old one is a GREAT one at that. Even on the PS1 it was amazing, though it was HARD. How hard? Hard enough to make all the Demon's Souls level difficulty fans here go crawling off crying to...well, whatever they crawl off to cry to. Since the reboot is being developed by none other that legendary Fixeraxis and Sid Meier, I believe this game will shine. Not sure if it will resonate with today's gamer, but one can hope. Well, personally those games are beyond my knowledge. there's Settlers, which sounds like Civilization, which is the one that company is known for. that was pretty good. these are more like just controlling a bunch of troops, but something about XCom sounded different. sorry that was not the right genre. never judge a book by it's cover. Settlers was a good old one for the PC. never had a ps1, but I switched off from the PC at the end of the PS2's hayday now I'm stuck with sony for almost everything. Definitely will be trying Dishonored, though probably will pass on Resident Evil 6. Did like Resident Evil 5 alright, but it may have been Resident Evil 4.
I finally got a laptop PC. Just went into get Diablo 3, and they said you have to be online all the time to play it.why is this? do you need to have highspeed internet to play it? what is it about being online thatis so important for the game to run? is there anyway at all to play it offline?of course I can go and register the game on and internet connection sometime, but I don't have it at home. It doesn't sound like I can play any portion of the game without the internet. I would just like your advice whether that statement is completely and totally 100% true.

I found this out 2 days ago and Yesterday I sold my fifa 12 for 30 bucks. I dont play it anymore and In a month its going to be worthless.

I'm transitioning from Madden 12 to Fifa 13 because of bad programming in Madden. Madden's a great game for hardcore football fans. Definitely have played Fifa before and am ready to give it another shot.
Frankly I would trust Amazon more than gamestop or best buy.

why is that different sites have different release dates? are those errors on the sites that will be fixed when I place the pre-order, or should I just shop around here, and see if Fifa shows up at Walmart or futureshop?
No they are just guessing based on last year until a statement is made by the company that made the game. Unfortunately the video game industry in general is still run by many amateurs(especially in gamestop and best buy)
Fifa 13 is the game to get, I can't wait. I need to wipe my harddrive first. do you know how to do that on a ps3? is there anything I can do besides trying to delete all of the files I find on there. I know there are some bugs in there.
