They already announced this a while ago, but I'm glad they've enabled it as a separate toggle from difficulty. Permadeath seems to make sense in this game. You can't have a revolution without a few deaths & I think this adds some stakes to what you're doing.
@Isaac_Redfield: First person melee is always bad. There's no sense of depth perception.
I actually enjoyed the combat in Witcher 3. Playing on Death March, once you realise that you have to heavily rely on signs & taking the right potions to give you an advantage, it actually becomes quite satisfying. It's not the best combat ever, but it feels OK.
@michaeldark: There are RPGs like Skyrim where you can create a character of any race, sex etc. and then there are games like The Witcher where you are playing a specific character. I think both have their place.
I always thought it was weird that in a "historical" game like Assassin's Creed, it was weird that you could just change history by deciding, "Oh yeah, Kassandra did all that stuff, not Alexios". I actually chose to play as Kassandra, but I think having the option goes heavily against AC lore.
Yes, prices have stayed the same for a long time, but the market has grown considerably.
Despite that, I think a price increase could be warranted, so long as publishers stop nickel & diming their customers, trying to sell customers overpriced skins & minor content packs in games they've already paid for. Maybe they could stop selling deluxe editions that increase the cost by 30-50% but only have a fraction of the content.
