Well, I think BL is a great game, love the co op ability to team up with friends and do battle. The massive amount of weapons makes it all so interesting.

I was a late comer to this game and wish I could have been around when it was in it's heyday, I still have issues getting others to play it as often as I would like. I have three characters going on the X Box 360 and two on the PS3.

I find it very entertaining and obsessive and look forward with great relish to the release of BL2.

I have ventured forth for the first couple of mission or task on the SP campaign and see some minor mechanic changes but nothing drastic (THANK GOODNESS) and played one round of the GoW Hoarde like MP.

I plan on hooking up this weekend with my best gaming bud to do some MP together on the demo and intend on playing the demo through to get a better perspective.

Will pass on more thoughts later after some serious "evaluation" of the demo...

Am planning on spending some tiime with it over the weekend of the 18th/19th with Gun Chimp and others to see what the NEW MP is really like. Have done one round of the MP and it is like Gears Hoarde, not bad though but I could seen it geting old quickly, but this is a demo after all...

More to come, share your thoughts....

Hello all:

I go by "Bear" and am a young at heart 53 year old construction manager/biker from Florida. I enjoy gaming and got started with the Atari a couple of years back (I don't try to figure out how many any more). You can tell by my game collection how things have progressed for me. Have had some health issues for a few month, but didn't realize it till just a few weeks back when things came to a head, which is why I haven't been active on the spot or gaming much in the last three or four months, but the issue has been identified, dealt with and with the feeling better came the interest to get back to gaming and back on the spot (even though most of the unions I deal with are pretty dead of late) to communicate with fellow gamers.

I have a PC capable of gaming, but don't PC game much any more, I still have my Nintendo 64 and refuse to part with it, and have a PS2, PS3 and XBox360 set up in my cave.

I am single, so my whole apartment is considered a cave, and I can game as long as I am not working. I have been on the spot for some time now, but for a lot of years, didn't visit it at all, and really don't recall how I ended up signed on in the first place. I spend some time on unions, but hate spamming threads that are so banal that they make you wanna weep, pure frustration.

Do most of my gaming on the X'er, especially for MP, as I am a CAG member, which is where I turn to for most of my organized MP activity beyond a few faithfull gaming friends.

I am here due to a personal invite from Garfield, so I will check you out, read back through most of your threads and gradually find my feet and start sharing my opinions and thoughts. I am opinionated by the way, comes from many years in the US miltiary and being a construction manager.

Take care and I will be talking at ya!

Bear

This thread was about the old/new characters from ME1 to ME2, and I was wondering how much of todays prespective is applicable to ME2 vs ME3. Just visiting the union from the OLDEST threads to the newest and dredging up old stuff. I just found it interesting for find OLD news that is comparable to todays anticipated release. If that makes sense to you...

Hey all, as you can see my name is Bear, Been awhile since I played ME2, but with only five weeks left, figured it was time to bring it out and refresh. I reserved my copy (100% pre-paid) of ME3 well over a year ago! It has been a long wait and I am more than ready. Really curious how the Co-Op is going to work out, but it will be a great adder to be allowed to share the game with some long time buds that are fans of ME also.

Later.

Happy Holidays (I think that´s what you guys say... for us in the UK it´s Merry Christmas!)

Gun_Chimp

Depends on what your beliefs are, me, I still say Merry Christmas as I think political correctness is an OVER-BLOWN bunch of hog-snot. But I am a conservative and think that we Yanks need to revisit what made America great and realize that all these NEW AGE ideas are draggings us DOWN and stealing our "inalenable" rights. (But I'll drop it at that, this is not the place for the polico discussions)

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all & Happy Hannuka (sp?)

Soul, yolu did tell me about the fast travel, but I was in a place that I had to battle those darn spider ants that I could barely kill with the vehicle mortar and about two bazillion level 25-28 baddies just to get to a vehicle/transport spot. Once I did get there, I took my butt back to fyrestone to determine my best course of action to level up before I go to much further in than where we were before.

You massive level and mods spoiled me for a bit and reality hit pretty hard when I kept having to re-spawn, but I really enjoyed the co-op and want more than ever to get to that level of play. Thanks again.

Okay, since I found the site from this union, I am going to make a suggestion for any of you adults that like to be involved in co-ordinated MP activities with familar friends of an adult age that play for the fun, have a code of conduct for language and game play.

Greylock, who happens to still be a memeber of this union, some time back got a bit dis-illusioned by the total inactivity here on the AG and started his own web site for adult gamers. I found it going through some VERY old threads here when I first joined the AG cause I was looking for other ADULTS that were like minded when it came to gaming.

Visit and sign on to CasualAdultGamers.com and you will find a great bunch of gamers with co-ordinated play in just about every category of gaming. I will say that the X box seems to be the prevalent platform, but there are PS3 gamers too. Don't notice much in the way of Wii, but generally when one gets to be an OLDER adult, you don't want to jump all around you gaming room.

There are co-oridnated Football Leagues, Baseball Leagues, (haven't seen BB), there are Forza racing leagues and Car Clubs, Paradise Ally racing, BF and MW clans than play once a week on a dedicated schedule. Gears is big too, Dead Island, etc, etc, etc....

So, if you want some coordinated MP activity with other adults that don't curse a blue streak, don't team kill or throw their team mates under the bus, check it out

Here is a LINK that will take you straight there. I highly recommend it.....
